SLB is seeking a motivated Continuous Improvement Champion to support our Data Center infrastructure solutions business.
The Continuous Improvement Champion is responsible for leading the implementation of the SLB Continuous Improvement (CI) program within a technology center or department. This role partners with line management to lead improvement projects, coach employees in the application of CI tools and methodologies, and drive measurable improvements in productivity, quality, delivery, and cost performance. The CI Champion ensures improvement efforts are aligned with business objectives, managed according to the program requirements. This person conducts CI training and develops and implements a local strategy to enable centers and departments to achieve operational excellence.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and support center-level Continuous Improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives
- Partner with Manufacturing to drive cost leadership, sustain 5S/6S programs, optimize process flow, and identify value stream improvement opportunities
- Develop a strong Continuous Improvement culture through coaching, training, recognition, and deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, VSM, and other CI methodologies
- Manage the CI governance process by validating project benefits, monitoring site savings performance, and tracking utilization of CI-trained personnel
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of digital Continuous Improvement tools, reporting systems, and analytics platforms
- Execute Concurrent Lifecycle Management procedures related to CI and provide feedback to continuously improve those. Support actions to maintain external certifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related technical discipline
- 5+ years manufacturing, operations, industrial engineering, quality, supply chain, or CI experience
- Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, 5S/6S, VSM, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives and influencing organizational change
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software applications
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
Preferred Skills:
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- SAP ERP/MRP experience
- Data analysis and reporting tools (Power BI, Power Query, Excel VBA, Macros)
- Manufacturing KPI development and performance management
