Continuous Improvement Engineer- CA
Job Duties
Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent acts as an expert in the optimization of manufacturing and operational processes for the company's two sites. The incumbent is responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing initiatives aimed at improving productivity, quality, safety, and the organization's overall performance. In this multisite role, the incumbent works closely with production, quality, maintenance, and management teams to implement operational excellence practices, harmonize work methods, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at quality, productivity, and operational performance.
• Analyze manufacturing processes, measure results, and recommend sustainable solutions.
• Develop and monitor performance indicators to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Lead Lean and process optimization projects in collaboration with operational teams.
• Act as a subject matter advisor to managers and support change management.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by providing coaching and mentoring to teams.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Experience and Education
• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Member of the Ordre Eng. Quebec (an important asset).
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience in managing continuous improvement and process optimization projects.
• Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and structured problem-solving principles.
• Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt, or Black Belt certification considered an asset.
