Job Description:

The Job/What You'll Do:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Content Producer/Editor to support our brand and marketing efforts within the financial services industry. This role is primarily focused on writing, producing, and editing high-quality video content that informs, engages, and builds trust with our clients and prospects.

The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling narratives. In addition to video production, this role will contribute to a range of creative projects and must be prepared to deliver quick turns with the ability to scale deliverables depending on outcomes or feedback.

This is a full-time position in our Concord, CA office with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Write, develop, and produce informative and engaging video and podcast content tailored to financial advisors and investors-including educational market insights, product overviews, advisor interviews, and thought leadership pieces
  • Edit videos, produced both internally and externally, according to stakeholder brief and under the direction of Director, Experience Design
  • Additional post-production workflow to include the ability to add/edit graphic bumpers and lower thirds, as well as address color correction and sound design
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, compliance team, and marketing teams to ensure content accuracy, clarity, and alignment with regulatory and brand standards
  • Craft compelling scripts, voiceover copy, and on-screen messaging with a tone that reflects the brand's professional and trustworthy voice
  • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Work with production teams (internal or external) from pre-production through final delivery, ensuring creative vision and brand guidelines are upheld
  • Stay current with trends in financial education, digital storytelling, and events for best practices in media


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent writing skills with a proven ability to distill technical information into engaging, accessible content
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to transform dry topics into compelling narratives
  • Ability to manage cross-functional collaboration and incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders
  • Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Must be proficient in tools such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Avid, Final Cut, or other video editing software
  • Familiarity with AI tools and processes that can enhance production and post-production work a plus
  • Management of live, broadcast studio a plus


Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in video production, videography, communications, or comparable work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in content production, video editing, and/or copywriting, preferably within the financial services, fintech, or professional services industry
  • Strong portfolio showcasing video scripts and multimedia content with a breakdown of accountability and execution


Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $100,000-$125,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
