Full Job Description
Position Summary

CEB is looking for an experienced and CA-licensed Trusts & Estates lawyer to create and update engaging legal content for Trusts and Estates for practitioners, particularly (1) Trusts & Estates litigation; (2) Medi-Cal; (3) Special Needs Trusts; (4) Guardianships; and (5) Elder Law including Elder Law Litigation. Content Attorneys are responsible for applying their legal practice experience, conducting in-depth legal research and analysis, and writing in order to develop engaging, sophisticated, and practical legal content. Aside from independently creating content, Content Attorneys recruit and collaborate with attorneys and judges to review and develop content. Content Attorneys also write DailyNews articles that address current legal developments. Content Attorneys also have the opportunity to collaborate internally in practice area groups.

Salary & Compensation

Qualifications

  • Law Practice 2+ years of related law practice experience required; 5+ years preferred (Required)
  • Legal Editing 2+ years of legal editing experience in substantive law area (Required)
  • Practitioner Awareness Experience and in-depth knowledge of current legal practice and the challenges faced by legal practitioners (Required)
  • Large Firm Experience with a large firm or government entity preferred (Preferred)
  • Trusts and Estates Litigation Experience with Trusts & Estates litigation Litigation (Preferred)
  • Guardianship and Elder Law Experience with Guardianship and Elder Law Litigation (Preferred)
  • Needs Trust or Medi-Cal Experience with Needs Trust / Special Needs Trusts and/or Medi-Cal (Preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant substantive law area (Required)
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; demonstrated command of the English language. (Required)
  • Excellent project management skills, including supervision of internal staff and resources and effective management of relations with contributors and co-workers (Required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Required)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment (Required)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (Required)
