JOB DESCRIPTION
For assigned categories in the IT Procurement portfolio, position will develop, champion, and ensure implementation of ideas & strategies that will optimize total cost of ownership year-over-year. This position manages the strategic category management and sourcing activities for IT to include, but not limited to, IT Hardware, software, IT professional services, telecom, infrastructure, Software as a Service, subscription agreements, non-disclosure agreements, maintenance agreements, data processing agreements and technology agreements.
Familiarity with suppliers to include Adobe, Amazon, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Salesforce, Tableau, UIpath and vmWare beneficial.
This professional can work in a near-site, mostly remote capacity and must be located to one of the following locations:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and implements category management strategies for categories assigned in the IT and Technology Portfolio.
- Makes sourcing recommendations based on financial analysis, cost structure of categories, supplier’s alignment with Quest Diagnostics goals and strategies, and the supplier’s position in their industry in concert with its marketplace offerings.
- Maintains a deep knowledge of software, hardware and technology landscape in terms of supplier base, new technologies, competitive environment, robotics, automation, artificial intelligence (AI), market trends and cost impactors.
- Develops strategic sourcing roadmaps with suppliers in support of company's future commercial needs.
- Negotiates software agreements inclusive of pricing and contractual terms.
- Negotiates cloud-based and on premises software agreements, SaaS agreements, hardware and maintenance agreements, data processing agreements, NDAs, IT professional services agreements and SLAs
- Develops negotiation strategies and drive negotiations to achieve stated objectives.
- Oversees sourcing project execution and collaborates with laboratory technical teams, supplier quality, and procurement engineering.
- Manages supplier relationships to include periodic commercial and quality reviews. Assures active and open communications with suppliers. Operates in an objective manner which fosters commercial benefits for Quest Diagnostics and also represents a fair and balanced relationship with suppliers.
- Influences franchise, operational, and other internal stakeholders to align on sourcing strategies and project requirements.
- Provides regular and consistent measurement reports to internal customers that bring visibility on category level compliance and savings contributions.
