  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance practices and respond to operational needs.
  • Oversee and confirm monthly departmental processing and reporting requirements.
  • Perform all collection and servicing duties as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to this role.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assists the Consumer Real Estate Servicing Manager in leading and managing the Mortgage Collections, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure & Bankruptcy, Asset Management, and Property Preservation sections of the department, which includes, but not limited to:
      • Personnel issues such as hiring, training, coaching, and discipline
      • Conducting internal department audits to locate areas needing improvement and clearing exceptions to remain compliant
      • Preparing work schedules and processes to expedite workflow
  • Develops, maintains and administers policies and procedures established and guided by the Bank, Investor, and/or regulatory agencies, to remain in compliance
  • Addresses borrower complaints, escalations, and issues promptly, ethically, and fairly by following agency and Bank guidelines and procedures
  • Collaborates with other departments and branches to improve or develop effective practices, address needs and expand on opportunities
  • Confirms all monthly department requirements are processed and approved, whether through conducting, oversight, or delegating, which includes, but is not limited to:
    • Non-accrual placement
    • Reversing non-accrual placement
    • Charge-offs and write-downs
    • Investor delinquency reporting
    • General ledger reconciliations
    • Other reports and process as required
  • Performs all collection and servicing duties as needed
  • Other duties as assigned or directed
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensures ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meets all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion


Qualifications

Education, Training and Requirements:
  • A.A. or A.S. degree required
  • B.A. or B.S. degree strongly preferred
  • Business field of study strongly preferred
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older

Skills:
  • Proficient reading, writing, and grammar skills
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Excel
  • Able to demonstrate ability to analyze data from reports/workbooks
  • Proficient communicative skills
  • Ability to create, implement, and maintain workflows based on regulatory guidelines

Experience:
  • Minimum of four (4) years supervisory experience strongly preferred, two (2) years required
  • Secondary to supervisory experience above, minimum of four (4) years in a finance, accounting, collection, loss mitigation, servicing real estate loans, legal, or real estate field preferred


Other Job Information

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm). Nights and weekends as needed.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
