Full Job Description
What you'll be doing...

You'll be part of a team ensuring the efficient fulfillment of the inventory that powers Verizon. In this role, you will provide the tactical oversight that drives daily execution, focusing heavily on data analysis, systematic transactions, and order tracking to ensure our 3PL partners meet our high standards.
  • Tracking critical orders and performing reconciliations between our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and the 3PL's Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure seamless data flows.
  • Analyzing large sets of warehouse operational data to identify trends, pinpoint process friction, and present concise recommendations for weekly action.
  • Monitoring key performance indicator (KPI) execution across metrics such as receiving dock-to-stock, order accuracy, and on-time delivery.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of physical and systematic inventory by performing complex inventory reconciliations and auditing 3PL inventory control processes.
  • Actively managing daily operational exceptions, working directly with 3PL supervisors to resolve shipping or receiving delays.
  • Generating, maintaining, and automating reporting to distill tactical insights for the broader supply chain team.
  • Supporting the rollout of supply chain projects designed to improve customer experience or reduce expense.
  • Documenting and continually refining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for systematic and physical workflows.

What we're looking for...

You have a passion for ensuring the fulfillment of customer expectations with both speed and uncompromising accuracy. You have a knack for diving deep into large datasets and transactional logs to figure out exactly what happened and why. You enjoy analyzing the steps in a process flow, identifying points of friction, and understanding how upstream actions affect downstream results.

You aren't afraid to step into the details, perform routine audits, take samples, and measure KPIs firsthand to ensure success. Skilled at creating and analyzing reports, you easily distill raw data into actionable insights for yourself and others. You are self-directed, highly organized, and comfortable operating in environments where you need to build data maturity and standard processes from the ground up.

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or six or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Experience with ownership of planning, forecasting, production, or reporting and analysis.
  • Supply chain, logistics, or inventory management experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in large scale operations, distribution, or manufacturing.
  • Experience with a warehouse management system (WMS) and ERP systematic transactions.
  • Proficiency in SAP.
  • Experience utilizing data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) or process visualization software (e.g., Microsoft Visio).

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every "even better" qualification listed above.

Where you'll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.
