Job Description

DNV USA, Inc. seeks a Consultant to work on a hybrid schedule out of our Sunrise, Florida office with 10% domestic and 10% international travel.

Job Duties:
  • Provide technical support to the global Maritime and Offshore industry, helping clients achieve profitable and sustainable results for all ship segments such as cruise, gas carriers, tankers, and bulk carriers as well as port infrastructure.
  • Deliver projects across environmental, safety, and risk domains, including transactional risk.
  • Advise on emission reduction strategies, alternative fuels, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead safety and risk assessments.
  • Support clients in developing safety culture and HSEQ systems.
  • Lead or contribute to incident investigations and organizational learning.
  • Manage projects and collaborate across regions.
  • Drive business development and client engagement.
  • Requires 10% domestic, 10% international travel.
  • Hybrid work permitted 2 days per week within a reasonable commuting distance of Sunrise, FL.

Master's degree in Marine Technology, Industrial Economy, Business Administration or related field of study and one (1) year of experience as a Consultant, Consultant Intern, Innovation and Portfolio Management Intern, Business Development Intern, Strategy Intern or related role where required experience gained.

Alternate Requirements:

In lieu of a Master's degree in above stated fields and one (1) year of above stated field experience, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Marine Technology, Industrial Economy, Business Administration or related field of study and three (3) years of experience as a Consultant, Consultant Intern, Innovation and Portfolio Management Intern, Business Development Intern, Strategy Intern or related role where required experience gained.

Special Skills: Also requires experience in the following:
  • One (1) year with project, portfolio, or enterprise risk management;
  • One (1) year with transactional risk;
  • One (1) year in project management, with understanding of technical interfaces and project finance management;
  • One (1) year in the maritime industry;
  • One (1) year in the cruise industry;
  • Report writing and presentations; and
  • Managing multiple projects and working independently or in teams.
