Job Summary

This is an opportunity to lead high-impact construction execution for large-scale EPC and service projects across multiple industries, including oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, refining, pipeline, power generation, industrial manufacturing, water, and infrastructure markets. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership for construction operations, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and profitably while meeting client expectations for quality, schedule, and cost performance. You will play a key leadership role in workforce planning, project delivery, operational excellence, business growth, and construction execution strategy across a diverse project portfolio

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead construction operations for EPC and self-perform construction projects across oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, refining, power, industrial, water, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Develop and implement construction execution strategies that support safe, efficient, and profitable project delivery.
  • Provide oversight of project performance related to safety, quality, schedule, productivity, cost control, and contract compliance.
  • Direct workforce planning, craft staffing forecasts, recruitment strategies, mobilization plans, and labor productivity initiatives across multiple projects and regions.
  • Oversee construction readiness reviews, constructability assessments, risk evaluations, and project gate approvals.
  • Support business development, proposal preparation, estimate reviews, execution planning, and client presentations during pursuit and pre-award phases.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, project management, and operations teams to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for construction execution, labor productivity, equipment utilization, and project profitability.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Construction Managers, Site Managers, Superintendents, and field staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, regulatory standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Lead corrective action plans for projects experiencing schedule delays, cost overruns, productivity challenges, or quality concerns.
  • Support contract management activities including change management, claims avoidance, subcontractor performance management, and commercial risk mitigation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety culture, construction methods, productivity enhancement, digital construction tools, and lessons learned.
  • Participate in executive project reviews and provide recommendations regarding project staffing, execution strategies, and operational risk management.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting repeat business opportunities and strategic growth initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive construction experience supporting EPC projects within oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, refining, pipeline, power generation, industrial manufacturing, mining, water, or heavy civil infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven experience serving as Construction Manager, Site Manager, Area Manager, Operations Manager, or Project Director on major capital projects exceeding $200M.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-discipline construction teams in union and non-union environments.
  • Strong understanding of EPC project delivery, construction management practices, contract administration, and project controls.
  • Experience managing large craft labor organizations, subcontractors, and self-perform construction activities.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, quality management systems, and industry standards.
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to achieve project profitability and operational performance objectives.
  • Experience with megaproject execution, modularization strategies, heavy industrial construction, and commissioning/startup coordination.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
  • PMP, CCM, PE, OSHA certifications, or equivalent professional credentials preferred.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 10-20 years of construction operations experience, based on assigned area of operations.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ability to travel extensively and support domestic and international project locations as required.


Certifications

OSHA, Risk Management, Project Management courses.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Physical Demands:
• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, Move, and Walk long distances in and around confined, cluttered places, and uneven areas.
• See and hear naturally or with correction.
• Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties.
• Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure.

• May require work above 5 feet in height.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
• Work up to a 12 hour shift doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
