Construction Discipline Engineer (CDE) - Electrical Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Construction Discipline Engineer (CDE) - Electrical opportunity to support the Savannah River Site. Work Location: Aiken, SC Application Deadline: 10/20/26 (by Noon ET) Construction Discipline Engineer (CDE) - Electrical (6 positions)- The CDE-Electrical Field Engineer will be responsible for planning and technical oversight of field construction activities within a specified discipline associated with procurement, fabrication, installation, modification and maintenance of systems and components. Coordinate with Design agencies to ensure timely issuance of new design or design changes. Walk-down and review designs for constructability, resolve design problems encountered in the field during construction and meet with and discuss solutions with Design Engineers. Inspect/verify materials, equipment, and construction workmanship and assure compliance with drawings, specifications and code requirements. Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure the installation meets the requirements. Participate in turnover activities. Support/participate in start-up and functional check out of equipment and systems. This position requires a thorough understanding of Construction Engineering principles and ability to apply these principles to field conditions. Experience in the preparation of computer-based construction work execution plans (Work Packages) including job specific hazards analysis, i.e. Asset Suite and Assisted Hazard Analysis or equivalent. Education/Years of Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least five (5) years of practical experience in construction electrical field engineering OR an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering and five to ten (5-10) years of practical experience in construction electrical engineering OR a high school diploma and ten (10) + years of practical experience in construction electrical engineering. Skills/Experience: - Thorough understanding of Construction Electrical Engineering principles and the ability to apply these principles to field conditions. - Familiar with the National Electric Code (NEC). - Familiar with power distribution, controls, instrumentation and be capable of reading schematics (motors, pumps, distribution centers, etc.). - Knowledge of SRS specific electrical guides and standards is a plus. - Experience in radiological work planning and hazard analysis is desirable. - Capable of climbing and spending extended periods of time in the field. - Capable of obtaining qualifications to work in radiological work areas. - Working knowledge of discipline specific codes and standards. - Previous experience with generating work execution plans (preferably utilizing the Asset Suite work control system). - Previous experience with generating job hazards analysis. - Previous experience performing material take off and procurement.
