Full Job Description
To be eligible for this position, you must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, Asylee, or Refugee. Export Control/ITAR: Certain roles may be subject to U.S. export control laws, requiring U.S. person status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). Please review the job details below. We are seeking a Constellation Integration Program Manager to own end-to-end program execution and integration across a complex satellite constellation—from spacecraft acquisition and development through ground systems, communications, system integration and verification, launch and deployment, commissioning, mission operations, and integration with the broader portfolio. You will treat the constellation as an integrated mission capability, not a collection of independent programs. You will connect space, ground, network, operations, suppliers, customers, and external partners into a single executable program and maintain an accurate picture of cost, schedule, technical performance, dependencies, risk, and operational readiness across $100M+ efforts. This is a technically engaged execution role, not a process-management or status-reporting position. You will work directly with engineering and operational teams to understand the architecture, critical interfaces, technical maturity, integration sequence, and failure modes behind the plan. You do not need to be the deepest subject-matter expert in every discipline, but you must understand complex technical systems well enough to ask hard questions, challenge assumptions, connect issues across organizational boundaries, and recognize when apparently local problems threaten the broader mission. You will establish the integrated execution framework for the constellation, identify critical-path and cross-segment dependencies, drive decisions, remove blockers, and surface problems before they become crises. When execution moves off plan, you will help teams build credible recovery options and drive them to closure. Success means the complete constellation capability works and becomes operational when we say it will—not simply that individual programs, contracts, or milestones report green. Our environment is fast-moving, technically demanding, and highly collaborative. We expect clear communication, ownership, integrity, intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and a bias toward execution. Strong performers use facts, build bridges across disciplines, make decisions with imperfect information, learn quickly, and deliver on commitments. They get into the details when necessary, remain calm when programs encounter problems, and take responsibility for moving the mission forward. Minimum Qualifications 3 Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain security clearance. 3 10+ years of experience executing complex, multidisciplinary technical programs involving hardware, software, systems engineering, integration, test, operations, or similarly complex engineered systems. 3 Demonstrated ownership of major technical programs, integrated portfolios, or mission capabilities with significant cost, schedule, technical, supplier, and operational complexity; experience with programs or portfolios at the $100M+ scale strongly preferred. 3 Experience integrating multiple system elements into a cohesive operational capability rather than managing a single isolated product or workstream. 3 Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain an integrated program architecture spanning technical milestones, acquisition and supplier activities, development, integration, verification, deployment, and operational readiness. 3 Experience developing and actively managing integrated master schedules, critical paths, cross-program dependencies, major milestones, resource constraints, and schedule risk. 3 Demonstrated ability to establish and manage program baselines, including work breakdown structures, cost and schedule performance, forecasts, estimates to complete, and recovery plans. 3 Experience managing technical, cost, schedule, integration, supplier, operational, and external dependency risks and opportunities. 3 Demonstrated ability to translate engineering development, integration, verification, test, and operational activities into measurable program milestones, entrance/exit criteria, and decision points. 3 Experience driving execution across systems engineering, hardware, software, integration and test, mission operations, acquisition, supply chain, finance, customers, suppliers, and external partners without relying solely on positional authority. 3 Ability to understand complex system architectures and interfaces well enough to challenge assumptions, identify hidden dependencies, recognize emerging integration problems, and facilitate technically informed decisions. 3 Experience managing external suppliers, acquisition activities, subcontractors, or development partners whose performance directly affects overall system delivery. 3 Experience supporting major technical reviews, system integration and test campaigns, readiness assessments, customer milestones, deployment activities, or equivalent program decision events. 3 Demonstrated ability to identify off-plan performance early, determine the underlying drivers, and develop credible recovery or return-to-green strategies. 3 Strong executive communication skills with the ability to provide concise, transparent, decision-ready assessments of technical progress, cost, schedule, risk, tradeoffs, and decisions required. 3 Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments while maintaining accountability for outcomes and commitments. 3 Bachelors degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or another relevant technical discipline, or equivalent demonstrated technical experience. Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are valuable indicators of fit for this role but are not required. We are more interested in demonstrated ability to lead complex technical programs, integrate across organizational and system boundaries, and deliver results than in checking every box. 3 Direct exposure to satellite constellations or similarly complex mission systems, with familiarity across the end-to-end space lifecycleincluding spacecraft and payload development or acquisition, ground and communications systems, system integration and verification, launch and deployment, commissioning, mission operations, and integration with broader mission architectures. 3 Strong understanding of system-level integration and the technical, programmatic, supplier, and operational dependencies that connect multiple hardware and software elements into a delivered capability. 3 Working knowledge of Integrated Master Plans/Integrated Master Schedules, WBS development, critical-path analysis, schedule risk assessment, and resource-loaded planning. 3 Fluency with program financial management, including cost forecasting, EAC/ETC development, and objective assessment of cost and schedule performance 3 Ability to manage technical baselines and configuration changes when decisions affect interfaces, cost, schedule, verification, deployment, or mission performance. 3 Demonstrated success managing major suppliers, subcontractors, long-lead procurements, production dependencies, or external development partners. 3 Strong judgment in identifying leading indicators, anticipating execution problems, and developing practical contingency and recovery strategies before issues become major program impacts. 3 Background in commercial space, aerospace, autonomy, robotics, advanced manufacturing, automotive/motorsports, energy systems, or another high-performance engineering environment where complex hardware and software must be integrated and delivered on aggressive timelines. 3 PMP or equivalent program-management certification is beneficial but is not a substitute for demonstrated technical-program execution, judgment, and ownership. #LI-MG1 Pay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings.
