About the team and the roleThe eBay SEC Reporting & Consolidations team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Consolidations Manager to help support eBay's global financial close and consolidation processes. This role partners closely with Finance, Controllership, Accounting Policy, Tax, Legal, Shared Services, IT, and the Finance Innovation and Transformation team, as well as local accounting and business teams around the world.
In this role, you will help deliver accurate, timely, and insightful consolidated financial results while supporting process improvements, automation, and strong internal controls. You will have the opportunity to work on high-impact close and reporting activities, contribute to the continued evolution of eBay's consolidation processes, and partner across teams to support a scalable, effective, and future-ready accounting and reporting environment.
What you will accomplish- Help lead eBay's global consolidation and close processes, supporting accurate and timely financial reporting across reporting periods.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to manage key close activities, resolve accounting and System-related matters, and support alignment with eBay's close timelines.
- Perform consolidated analysis across the balance sheet and income statement, including clear commentary on key drivers, trends, and material changes.
- Support financial statement reporting results, including schedules and analysis related to consolidated reporting and the Consolidated Statement of Cash Flows.
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve financial closing and consolidation procedures through automation, standardization, simplification, and control improvements.
- Build positive relationships across global finance, accounting, IT, and transformation teams while contributing to a collaborative, inclusive, and culture driven by a passion for ongoing growth and development.
What you will bring- At least 8 years of dynamic accounting experience, including leadership responsibility; experience in public accounting and within a large, complex, high-growth organization is preferred
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
- Dedication to working the Hybrid Model with 3 days onsite in our Austin, Texas office.
- CPA or equivalent required
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, consolidation processes, SOX/internal controls, and financial close guidelines.
- Experience with ERP and consolidation tools; experience with SAP S/4HANA and Group Reporting is strongly preferred.
- Executive-level communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and influencing cross-functional collaborators
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with experience partnering across regional teams in a global environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate complex accounting, reporting, process, and system matters and recommend practical solutions.

Additional DetailsThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$130,000 - $155,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
