Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science or engineering (or related field)
  • 6+ years of environmental experience in industrial, mining, manufacturing, construction, and transportation sectors
  • Consulting experience in an engineering firm or industry

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical expert in air quality, atmospheric emissions, and decarbonization on various projects
  • Contribute to business development by preparing proposals and developing service offerings in Canada and internationally
  • Participate in strategic development of the Air and Decarbonization practice in collaboration with management
  • Lead or manage projects in expertise area, including task definition, scheduling, resource coordination, and deliverable tracking
  • Provide advanced technical support and act as a resource person for project teams while mentoring colleagues
  • Collaborate with clients, governmental agencies, and municipal authorities to define study needs and conditions
  • Conduct and coordinate sector studies as part of environmental impact assessments at provincial and federal levels
  • Identify sources of atmospheric emissions, select appropriate emission factors, and perform emission rate calculations
  • Write and review protocols, specifications, studies, technical reports, and models related to atmospheric emissions, and propose mitigation measures
  • Contribute to greenhouse gas inventories, decarbonization strategies, life cycle analyses, and Net-Zero plans according to recognized standards and protocols
  • Prepare and review applicable regulatory declarations, including INRP, IQEA, RDOCECA, and PDGES
  • Ensure technical quality of deliverables and contribute to continuous improvement of practices and methods.

AECOM est à la recherche d'un(e) Conseiller(ère) senior - Air et décarbonation pour se joindre à son équipe à Montréal. Cette personne jouera un rôle clé dans la réalisation de projets complexes en qualité de l'air, émissions atmosphériques et décarbonation auprès de clients des secteurs industriel, minier, pétrochimique, manufacturier, du transport et municipal.

Dans ce rôle, vous mettrez votre expertise au service de projets d'envergure au Québec, au Canada et à l'international, tout en contribuant au développement de notre pratique en Air et décarbonation. Vous travaillerez au sein d'équipes multidisciplinaires et collaborerez directement avec nos clients, partenaires et différentes parties prenantes.

Responsabilités principales
  • Agir à titre d'expert(e) technique en qualité de l'air, émissions atmosphériques et décarbonation sur des projets variés;
  • Contribuer au développement des affaires, notamment à la préparation de propositions et à l'élaboration d'offres de services au Canada et à l'international;
  • Participer au développement stratégique de la pratique Air et décarbonation en collaboration avec la direction;
  • Diriger ou gérer des projets dans son domaine d'expertise, notamment la définition des tâches, la préparation des échéanciers, la coordination des ressources et le suivi des livrables;
  • Fournir du soutien technique avancé et agir comme personne-ressource auprès des équipes de projet, tout en contribuant au mentorat et au développement des collègues;
  • Collaborer avec les clients, les organismes gouvernementaux et les instances municipales afin de définir les besoins et les conditions de réalisation des études;
  • Réaliser et coordonner des études sectorielles dans le cadre d'études d'impacts environnementaux aux niveaux provincial et fédéral;
  • Identifier les sources d'émissions atmosphériques, sélectionner les facteurs d'émission appropriés et réaliser les calculs de taux d'émission;
  • Rédiger et réviser des protocoles, devis, études, rapports techniques et modèles liés aux émissions atmosphériques, ainsi que proposer des mesures de mitigation adaptées aux procédés et aux opérations;
  • Contribuer à la réalisation d'inventaires de GES, de stratégies de décarbonation, d'analyses de cycle de vie et de plans Net-Zéro conformément aux normes et protocoles reconnus, notamment ISO 14064, GHG Protocol et PAS 2080;
  • Préparer et réviser les déclarations réglementaires applicables, notamment l'INRP, l'IQEA, le RDOCECA et le PDGES;
  • Assurer la qualité technique des livrables et contribuer à l'amélioration continue des pratiques et méthodes de travail.


Qualifications

Exigences minimales :
  • Baccalauréat en sciences ou en génie (ou domaine connexe) lié à l'environnement;
  • 6 ans + d'expérience en environnement dans les secteurs industriel, minier, manufacturier, construction et transport;
  • Expérience en consultation au sein d'une firme de génie-conseil ou en industrie;
  • Connaissance approfondie du cadre réglementaire en qualité de l'air et émissions industrielles;
  • Maîtrise des outils de modélisation atmosphérique (Aermod, Calpuff, etc.);
  • Connaissances solides des standards ISO 14064, PAS 2080, GHG Protocol, SbTI;
  • Expertise démontrée en quantification des GES, élaboration de mesures de décarbonation et plans net-zéro;
  • Excellentes capacités de communication écrite et orale (français et anglais);
  • Capacité à gérer plusieurs dossiers simultanément;
  • Autonomie, initiative, rigueur;
  • Permis de conduire valide;
  • Maîtrise des logiciels MS Office (Word, Excel, Project);
  • Certification ASP (cours santé et sécurité sur les chantiers de construction).

Exigences souhaitables :
  • 15 ans d'expérience ou plus;
  • Maîtrise en environnement, sciences, génie ou domaine connexe;
  • Membre de l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
  • Expérience comme directeur de projet en environnement;
  • Expérience comme chargé(e) de compte-client;
  • Formation ou certification ISO 14064, SASB, FSA, GRI;
  • Expérience dans la formation de ressources aux outils de modélisation (Aermod, Calpuff, Python, etc.);
  • Expérience en rapports et déclarations ESG / développement durable;
  • Connaissance approfondie de la LQE et du REAFIE;
  • Connaissances connexes appréciées :
    • Gestion de programmes environnementaux ou SST;
    • Audits de matières résiduelles;
    • Qualité de l'air intérieur et hygiène industrielle;
    • Études d'impacts environnementaux (provincial, fédéral);
    • Études de bruit/vibration ou modélisation acoustique.
