Connectivity Certifications organization at Aven Hospitality (AH) defines and delivers a compelling connectivity value proposition that enables high impact business outcomes for our customers. The team operates in a highly consultative manner, serving as both product and technical experts, while partnering with Sales and Account Management, Product and Engineering teams to design and deliver optimal connectivity solutions.
The
Connectivity Certification Analyst will perform review, testing, troubleshooting and certification of new system interfaces utilizing XML and JSON API specifications for our Property Connect (fulfillment) and Channel Connect (distribution) interfaces to the SynXis Central Reservation System (CRS) platform. The primary responsibilities will be reviewing message formats and system specifications for new interfaces being developed between vendors, customers, and internal staff and providing vendor and technical support for these certifications. The Connectivity Certification Analyst will also interact extensively with our product, development and QA teams and will be expected to participate in technical discussions about integration issues as well as product directions and strategies. This individual should have knowledge in a variety of technical areas including familiarity with hospitality technology standards including Open Travel, HTNG, XML, JSON, reading technical specifications, client and server systems, networking concepts and an understanding of programming concepts and tools.
Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate custom API solutions across customers, partners, and internal teams.
Onboard new API connectivity partners and customer, ensuring consistent certification standards and best practices.
Ensure the ongoing success and performance of existing integrations while ensuring adherence to commercially-agreed upon standards.
Collaborate with Sales and Account Management to support new and existing partner opportunities.
Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to troubleshoot integration product functionality, testing and defect remediation.
Deliver customer and partner satisfaction through strong collaboration, transparency, and technical leadership.
Strengthen adoption of the Aven Hospitality Platform by ensuring integrations deliver measurable business value.
Key Knowledge and Skill Requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven experience in API quality assurance and certification processes, including functional and integration testing of SOAP and REST services, with proficiency in XML and JSON payload validation.
Experience with SaaS solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiar with technical specifications
Strong experience with OTA, HTNG, Opera OHIP and OXI standards is preferred
The individual should be able to work as part of a team or work independently on assigned tasks, and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
Knowledge of software development life cycle and release process would be helpful
Hotel Operations and Property Management System (PMS), Central Reservation Systems (CRS), Customer Relation Management (CRM) or 3rd party channel experience is ideal
Proficient with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL
Qualifications / Experience4+ years of API and integration experience
Four-year college degree or relevant experience in a related field
Experience in Hospitality or Travel Distribution industry preferred
Experience working with technical and business stakeholders
Strong working knowledge of Aven Hospitality products and services
Expertise in SOAP and REST APIs
Relational or non-relational database query experience
