Description

Tharros is seeking a Lead Configuration Management Specialist to support a Department of Defense customer in establishing and maintaining configuration management and software quality assurance processes across hardware and software development efforts. This role will support configuration control activities, including defining Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes, roles and responsibilities, version control procedures, and policies that ensure consistent configuration management throughout the development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings experience in configuration management, change control, software quality assurance, version control, and technical documentation, with the ability to assess proposed design changes and determine their impact on end-product functionality. This individual will coordinate with customers, engineering teams, and manufacturers to establish effective change reporting processes and ensure configuration changes are properly evaluated, documented, controlled, and communicated.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contributes substantive content for maintaining and developing the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing, and integration
  • Has an in-depth understanding of the concepts of defining hardware and software configuration processes and procedures
  • Contributes substantive content for software quality assurance process audits
  • With no guidance, define, document, and maintain the CCB, including roles and responsibilities of CCB members
  • With no guidance, defines hardware and software configuration processes and procedures, version control processes, policies, and procedures to ensure they are followed on hardware and software development projects

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 10 years of experience of relevant experience
