We are seeking an experienced Configuration Management (CM) professional to support and strengthen our engineering, product development, and change control processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in configuration identification, change control, documentation management, and technical evaluation. This role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring all configuration activities align with organizational, regulatory, and program standards.
Responsibilities- Lead and facilitate routine Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, moderating discussions, and documenting decisions and action items.
- Review and assess engineering change proposals, drawings, parts lists, specifications, and other technical documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with configuration management requirements.
- Conduct technical evaluations of proposed changes to identify impacts on systems, cost, schedule, risk, and baseline documentation.
- Collaborate with functional teams to resolve configuration issues and ensure consistent adherence to CM processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable CM standards, methodologies, and contractual requirements (such as MIL-HDBK-61A, EIA-649, and ISO standards).
- Manage document control activities including version tracking, release workflows, and archival of controlled documents.
- Prepare and deliver CM reports, metrics, and status updates to program teams and leadership. Support continuous improvement of CM processes, tools, and documentation.
Required- BS or BA degree
- 5 years related experience
- Strong understanding of CM fundamentals, including configuration identification, change control, status accounting, and baseline management.
- Experience reviewing technical documentation such as drawings, parts lists, specifications, and change packages.
- Familiarity with CM standards and guidelines (e.g., MIL-HDBK-61A, EIA-649, ISO).
- Proficiency with CM/PLM tools such as Windchill, Azure DevOps or similar systems.
- Must have an in-scope DoW Secret Clearance
