The Work
This is a lead position that will oversee both software configuration management activities and the team responsible for executing them.
Responsibilities include:
• Oversee the process of managing the entire lifecycle of software products from its inception through engineering, design, and manufacture, as well as the service and disposal of manufactured products.
• Oversee Configuration Management (CM) and release engineering tasks to ensure product traceability and reproducibility. These tasks include software identification, configuration control, builds, delivery, and installation of product software baselines.
• Oversee the development and review of associated status accounting and delivery documentation.
• Identification and implementation of changes to legacy tools and processes in alignment with the business' Digital Transformation (Dx) initiatives.
• Driving the modernization of CM practices in alignment with 1LMX initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
• BS or MS Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
• Advanced experience working in Agile teams and software development environment using Jira, Git, Jenkins, Maven, GitLab, DevSecOps, Software Factory, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD)
• Advanced experience with Unix/Linux and Windows, primarily with command line interface
• Ability to interface with customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues, including tool issues
• Advanced experience with coordination of cost estimates to provide a comprehensive Basis of Estimate (BOE) solution for the organization
• Strong Earned Value Management (EVM) experience and/or Cost Account Management (CAM) experience
• Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the Secret level - U.S. Citizenship required
Desired skills
• Thorough understanding of software engineering concepts, development, and design
• Advanced Common Source Library (CSL) knowledge or familiarity
• Strong Configuration Management experience with military products and services
• Strong ability to drive customer requirements that provide agile affordability
• Strong knowledge with application of associated operating industry standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), EIA-649C and participation in audits
• Strong knowledge of Configuration Management and Data Management processes and principles
• Ability to review and analyze engineering changes to understand what is being implemented and the impacts it has
• Experience developing strategic vision and roadmap for team/organization and driving implementation resulting in positive improvements
• Software code branching and merging
• Proficient in at least one object-oriented language
Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $120,100 - $208,150. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
