Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in naval or aerospace engineering
• Experience with military or industrial environmental qualification standards (e.g. MIL-STD-901, MIL-STD-187A)
• Experience with computer integration and testing
• Familiarity with ship classification society standards (e.g. Lloyds Register, DNV) is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in English; knowledge of French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Select mechanical and electronic components for naval platform control
• Coordinate with suppliers for equipment suitable for naval environments
• Collaborate with software and hardware teams to define equipment requirements
• Stay updated on advances in marine control technology
• Prepare test procedures and reports for equipment environmental qualification testing
• Review customer specifications to develop traceable system requirements
• Support obsolescence management for in-service programs.
