Role SummeryThe QA Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of AML investigations, with a strong focus on Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs). This role ensures that investigative outputs meet internal standards and regulatory expectations, with clear reasoning, well-supported findings, and actionable recommendations. The QA Analyst also contributes to improving control frameworks and identifying risks across AML and broader compliance processes.
What You'll Do- Conduct quality assurance reviews of AML investigations and SARs, assessing accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate whether investigative findings, suspicion rationale, and conclusions are clearly articulated and supported by sufficient evidence and risk indicators.
- Prepare and deliver structured QA reports, clearly documenting findings, observations, risks, and actionable recommendations.
- Identify trends, recurring issues, and potential control gaps across SARs and casework, escalating material risks where appropriate.
- Support the development and refinement of QA frameworks, scorecards, and calibration processes to ensure consistency and regulatory alignment (e.g., FinCEN expectations).
- Perform QA testing across additional compliance areas such as KYC, onboarding, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening as needed.
Who You Are- Strong understanding of AML regulations and SAR requirements, with hands-on experience in SAR writing and/or SAR quality assurance review.
- Skilled at assessing investigative quality, including identifying gaps in logic, insufficient evidence, and unsupported conclusions.
- Experience across multiple compliance domains (e.g., transaction monitoring, KYC/onboarding, sanctions), or ability to quickly adapt QA methodologies to new areas.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a risk-based approach to identifying issues and control weaknesses.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured QA reports with well-supported findings and recommendations.
- High attention to detail and consistency in applying QA frameworks, scorecards, and calibration standards.
- Strong communicator, able to present QA findings and thematic insights to stakeholders and management to support decision-making and remediation.

Actual annual base salary is based on, but not limited to: experience, education, professional licenses, location and business needs. The position is eligible for health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k plan, paid-time off, and sick (and where applicable safe) leave. This position is also eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
