About the Role:
The role is responsible for helping to enhance and scale Neurocrine's Compliance operations & analytics capabilities. This position serves as a principal functional resource and emerging subject matter expert for compliance analytics, monitoring, and technology-enabled compliance operations. This is an individual contributor role that leads programs and cross-functional initiatives through expertise, influence, and indirect leadership rather than direct people management.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

Program Development and Ownership

  • Develop and own compliance monitoring methodologies, key performance and risk indicators, dashboards (including PowerBI and/or Tableau), and reporting frameworks to ensure ongoing compliance oversight

  • Develop best practices and drive continuous improvement of compliance monitoring processes through analytics, automation, and technology-enabled solutions

Compliance Operations & Technology

  • Manage the operational implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of compliance technology solutions, including AI-enabled platforms and automated compliance workflows

  • Configure, validate, and optimize AI-enabled tools to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of compliance risk detection while ensuring solutions remain aligned with regulatory expectations and business needs

  • Establish performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance technologies and recommend enhancements over time

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual compliance processes and improve operational efficiency through technology

  • Serve as the business owner for Compliance Operations technologies, partnering with vendors, IT, and business stakeholders to recommend and establish implementation priorities, evaluate enhancements, and ensure solutions continue to meet evolving business and regulatory needs

Strategic Analytics

  • Develop and evolve the Compliance analytics and monitoring approach by translating compliance requirements and business risks into measurable monitoring strategies

  • Develop and lead delivery  of executive-level dashboards and drive the development of reporting that support data-driven decision-making

  • Analyze trends, identify emerging compliance risks, evaluate viable response options, and recommend proactive mitigation strategies to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of Compliance function

  • Leverage analytics to inform compliance priorities, audit planning, and continuous improvement initiatives

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Legal, IT, Field Teams, and other business stakeholders to strengthen compliance monitoring and operational effectiveness. Influence Compliance and cross-functional organizational decisions through data-driven insights, risk analysis, and operational recommendations

  • Serve as a go-to organizational resource and emerging subject matter expert for compliance operations, analytics, and monitoring technologies

Organizational Impact

  • The role will provide functional ownership for developing and continuously evolving Neurocrine's Compliance operations & analytics strategy, strengthening compliance oversight, improving operational efficiency, and enabling leadership to proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks and improving the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the Compliance function

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent and 6+ years of relevant experience in data analytics

  • Compliance and Ethics Professional Certification preferred

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word

  • Demonstrated proficiency with data analysis, reporting, dashboard, spreadsheet, and presentation tools, with the ability to manipulate, analyze, visualize, and communicate complex data

  • Experience developing compliance monitoring methodologies, key performance indicators (KPIs), key risk indicators (KRIs), dashboards, and executive-level reporting

  • Experience implementing, optimizing, or supporting compliance technologies, automation solutions, AI-enabled tools, or other technology-enabled compliance operations

  • Ability to evaluate compliance risks, identify process improvement opportunities, and recommend data-driven operational solutions that improve the effectiveness of the Compliance program

  • Advanced knowledge of best practices within the functional discipline and a solid understanding of related business disciplines and their impact on compliance operations

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and continuously improve compliance processes, monitoring methodologies, reporting frameworks, and technology-enabled solutions

  • Ability to serve as a go-to resource within the functional area by applying deep expertise and sound judgment to complex business challenges

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and influence outcomes through collaboration and indirect leadership

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to evaluate complex issues and translate data into actionable recommendations

  • Ability to understand the broader organizational impact of decisions and anticipate downstream effects across multiple functions

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities with exceptional organization, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through

  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to establish priorities, coordinate stakeholders, and successfully deliver multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment within general parameters to determine appropriate methods, approaches, and solutions for new or complex assignments

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $132,700.00-$182,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
