Community Engagement Account Manager (CEAM)

ViiV is seeking an experienced, results-driven professional for the position of Community Engagement Account Manager. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment and work within the local community to drive performance for launch brand.

Additionally, the abilities to partner cross-functionally and to remain highly adaptable in a launch context will be critical. It is expected that the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in developing strategic business plans with specific, measurable, action-oriented objectives.

Successful outcomes, partnering with local community organizations, and being aligned to ViiV's mission of leaving no person with HIV behind. This will be achieved through driving results against business objectives and working effectively within an integrated account management framework.

This role will provide YOU with the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:
  • Identify, target, and execute business by working within the local community to elevate our innovative approach to HIV prevention and treatment
  • Identify and lead community-related initiatives that align to augmenting territory level sales in partnership with matrix teams
  • Deliver branded and unbranded content targeting Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHCPs) and patients/consumers
  • Focus on delivering clinical information and the role of a new long acting injectables (LAIs) in HIV prevention and treatment to underrepresented diverse populations, allied healthcare providers as well as PrEP and Treatment decision makers and influencers
  • Passionately deliver promotional activities for long acting injectable in HIV prevention and Treatment, engaging and exciting communities and organizations disproportionately affected by HIV
  • Engage with social workers, case managers, treatment educators, discharge planners, outreach workers, benefits/implantation administrators and others directly or indirectly linked to the community in key organizations within the local communities: AIDS Service Organizations, Faith Based, ethnic organizations, and other community-based organizations
  • Provide culturally relevant and appropriate resources for discussing PrEP and Treatment options available to key customers
  • Develop strong community networks and establish pathways to PrEP, linkage to care for treatment to expand outreach and education to underrepresented populations
  • Align and execute business plans that are tailored to the unique needs within a local market that help HCPs scale their prevention and treatment models to reach more patients in partnership with sales
  • Coordinate, engage, and partner with multiple cross-functional team members (i.e., Sales, Clinical Educators, Field Reimbursement Managers and Medical) to deliver an integrated product experience to customers
  • Maintain a portfolio-based selling mindset and close internal communication loops to ensure customers experience a cohesive, integrated ViiV experience
  • Deliver and adapt execution plans to achieve performance goals and objectives utilizing; KPIs, scaling of successes, business problem solving, etc.
  • Develop and foster external relationships with key influential customers and thought leaders

  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience which should include specialty/HIV experience or 5+ years of experience in HIV/AIDS or public health community-based organizations
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which include nights/weekends and overnight travel, with the majority of time spent in market
  • Valid Driver's License


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Health Policy Health or Allied Health fields
  • Strong connection to and understanding of community needs, specifically HIV prevention or HIV treatment; with enthusiasm to promote new long acting injectables to key communities of need
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategic business plans with specific, measurable, action-oriented objectives
  • Demonstrated experience navigating, organizing and influencing key stakeholders, along with establishing community networks and pathways to expand outreach to underrepresented populations
  • Experience in defining and executing market development strategies
  • Strong planning and organization skills, analytical ability, business acumen, decision making ability, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

The US annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $145,500 to $242,500. The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate's skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
