Full Job Description
COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION GENERAL MANAGER

This executive-level position is responsible for leading all community operations and preserving the quality, appearance, safety, and value of one of South Florida's premier luxury residential communities.

Reporting directly to the General Manager/COO, the Community Association General Manager serves as the chief operating officer of the Property Owners Association and is responsible for governance, financial management, resident relations, contractor oversight, security operations, landscape maintenance, capital projects, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct all Property Owners Association operations and services
  • Lead and supervise the Landscape Director, Director of Administration, Security Director, Realty Broker, ARB Coordinator, and other key personnel
  • Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets
  • Oversee major community contracts and vendor relationships
  • Coordinate security, life safety, and emergency preparedness programs
  • Serve as liaison to community and governance related committees
  • Provide guidance regarding governing documents and Florida Statute 720
  • Oversee Architectural Review Board administration and compliance programs
  • Direct long-range planning and capital improvement initiatives
  • Maintain strong relationships with residents, community leaders, consultants, and local government officials
  • Ensure preservation and enhancement of community property values
  • Manage resident communications, policy enforcement, and conflict resolution
  • Participate as a member of the Executive Management Team


Community Profile

Frenchman's Creek is a private gated residential community consisting of 607 luxury estate homes, custom residences, patio homes, villas, townhomes, a newly built one hundred twenty-five thousand square foot clubhouse, two golf courses, tennis and pickle ball racquet sports complex, a beach club, and extensive common areas. One Master Association and no sub-associations. The Property Owners Association is responsible for:

  • Community security, access control, and safety
  • Landscape and external maintenance of 418 patio, villa, and town houses, common areas and club facilities
  • Infrastructure maintenance
  • Architectural review and compliance
  • Resident services and communications
  • Capital planning and project management
  • Governance administration


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Active Florida Community Association Manager (CAM) License
  • Three years of senior community association management experience in a large-scale residential community association
  • Strong financial and budget management experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working directly with boards of directors and resident committees
  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends; ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner


Preferred Qualifications

  • Community Associations Institute (CAI) membership and professional designations
  • Large-scale HOA, master association, country club, or luxury community experience
  • Experience managing multiple department heads and contracted services
  • Knowledge of Florida community association law and governance practices
  • Capital project and reserve planning experience
