Position Summary

The Communications & Media Relations Manager is responsible for developing and executing North America-focused communications strategies that advance CMA CGM's business objectives, strengthen corporate reputation, and support stakeholder engagement. Reporting to the Vice President, Communications, this role will develop and execute external and internal communications initiatives encompassing media relations, public relations, digital and social media communications, content development, brand positioning, and strategic communications projects in close collaboration with global headquarters and cross-functional business partners.

Functions & Duties
  • Develop and execute integrated public relations and communications strategies that support CMA CGM's global vision while advancing North America's business objectives and corporate priorities.
  • Manage CMA CGM North America's corporate reputation, brand positioning, and stakeholder communications across external and internal channels.
  • Create compelling and impactful communications content, including press releases, media statements, executive briefing notes, speeches, talking points, corporate announcements, website content, customer advisories, and other corporate messaging, ensuring consistency of brand voice and positioning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media representatives, industry stakeholders, and internal partners to enhance brand visibility, thought leadership, and corporate reputation.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, industry trends, and public sentiment, providing strategic communications counsel and recommendations on reputational and business matters.
  • Support the planning and execution of corporate events, executive leadership visits, customer engagements, networking events, and industry conferences, ensuring alignment with CMA CGM's brand and business objectives.
  • Support internal communications initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, reinforce organizational culture, and drive alignment with corporate objectives.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling, and audience-specific messaging for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience developing and executing integrated communications strategies that support business objectives, strengthen brand positioning, and enhance corporate reputation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in corporate communications, media relations, reputation management, stakeholder engagement, and executive communications.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with experience producing press releases, speeches, executive messaging, media materials, corporate announcements, and digital content.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical capabilities, and research skills, with the ability to assess market trends, identify opportunities, and recommend effective communication and marketing strategies.
  • Experience analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting complex information, data, and business insights in a clear and meaningful manner for diverse audiences and leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and supporting corporate events, executive leadership visits, customer engagements, networking events, and industry conferences.
  • Proficiency in digital communications, website content management, social media platforms, multimedia production, and emerging communication technologies.
  • Knowledge of social media, digital marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and search engine marketing (SEM) best practices welcomed.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, and results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work under tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while exercising professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, and confidentiality.

At CMA CGM, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The expected salary range for this position is $74,000 - $101,500 per year. The actual salary offered will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for:
Performance-based bonuses. Comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, tuition repayment and paid time off.
