Overview

Position

The Communications Director, Moncler Americas is a key leader within the Brand team, responsible for translating Moncler's global vision into impactful regional communications strategies that strengthen brand desirability, reputation, and cultural relevance across North America and Latin America.

Reporting directly to the Chief Communications Officer, Moncler Americas, this role leads the development and execution of integrated communications initiatives spanning public relations, social media, media relations, corporate communications, and brand storytelling.

The Communications Director serves as a strategic partner to cross-functional leaders across Retail, Wholesale, Marketing, CRM, Digital, and Visual Merchandising, ensuring communications strategies support business priorities while protecting and elevating the brand.

This role directly manages a team of communications professionals and is responsible for developing organizational capability, driving executional excellence, and fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and collaboration.

Your Impact

Strategic Communications Leadership

Partner with the Chief Communications Officer to develop and execute the communications strategy for Moncler across the Americas.
Translate global communications priorities into regional plans that support brand awareness, relevance, positioning, and commercial objectives.
Identify opportunities to strengthen brand storytelling through earned media, , partnerships, and strategic communications initiatives and activations.
Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on communications opportunities, risks, and reputation management matters.
Monitor industry trends, media landscapes, consumer behavior, and competitive activity to inform communications strategies.

Public Relations & Media Relations

Lead the planning and execution of seasonal communications campaigns, product launches, collaborations, store openings, special projects, and brand initiatives.
Oversee media outreach and relationship-building efforts with key fashion, luxury, lifestyle, business, and cultural media.
Drive proactive storytelling opportunities that increase visibility and strengthen brand equity.
Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all external communications.
Manage agency partnerships and evaluate performance against established objectives.

Brand Experiences

Oversee communications support for brand events, activations, store openings, and experiential initiatives across the Americas.
Partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure events align with brand objectives and communications strategies.
Maximize media visibility and storytelling opportunities generated through brand experiences and special projects.
Ensure flawless execution and alignment with global brand standards.

Leadership & Team Development

Lead, coach, and develop a team of communications professionals across multiple functions.
Establish clear priorities, performance expectations, and development plans for team members.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Build organizational capability by identifying future talent needs and succession opportunities.
Serve as a role model for leadership behaviors and cross-functional partnership.

Budget & Operational Management

Manage communications budgets and resources to maximize impact and efficiency.
Oversee communications calendars, reporting, and performance measurement.
Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms to evaluate campaign effectiveness, media performance, brand visibility, and return on investment.
Ensure strong operational discipline, planning, and execution across all communications activities.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

Work Experience

10+ years of progressive communications experience, preferably within luxury, fashion, lifestyle, retail, or consumer brands.
Proven experience developing and executing integrated communications strategies across multiple channels and audiences.
Demonstrated success leading public relations, media relations, corporate communications, events, and brand storytelling initiatives.
Experience managing agencies, budgets, and cross-functional projects.

Travel

Up to 10% travel, primarily within the United States, to support events, activations, and business needs.

Compensation and Benefits

For positions based in New York, Moncler provides a good faith estimate of the salary range for the role. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including business needs, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, and certifications. The current estimated base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $195,000 year.

In addition to competitive pay, the hired candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, paid parental leave, 11 paid holidays, accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation time, 2 personal days, 2 community service days, employee discounts, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.

This position requires an on-site presence of four days per week at the Moncler Corporate Office, located in SoHo, New York.
