Full Job Description

As a Commercial Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing profitable new business opportunities within the Light Industrial Coatings segment for the Automotive Refinish business. In this role, you will partner with assigned Territory Sales Managers and distributor partners to drive growth through the promotion and sale of PPG Light Industrial Coatings product portfolios.

Reporting to the Commercial Regional Sales Manager, you will dedicate 100% of your time to industrial and commercial sales growth, business development, and account management. This position requires up to 50% travel and covers the territories of South Dakota and Nebraska.

Key Responsibilities

· Identify and develop new market opportunities to drive industrial and commercial sales growth while expanding distribution channels.

· Execute key elements of the regional commercial growth strategy as directed by the Commercial Regional Sales Manager.

· Lead the onboarding, development, and successful launch of new distributor partners, including the creation of ongoing business plans and growth strategies.

· Collaborate with distributors and Territory Sales Managers to develop and implement effective sales strategies that achieve business objectives.

· Coordinate sales efforts across commercial distribution channels while educating distributor sales representatives on industrial coatings products, applications, and business opportunities.

· Deliver fleet and commercial product training programs to support sales teams, distributor personnel, and customers.

· Contribute to the development and implementation of sales training materials and programs to strengthen product knowledge and selling capabilities.

· Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to provide insights that support regional marketing and growth initiatives.

· Identify and pursue direct sales opportunities in alignment with regional growth objectives.

· Assist in developing and securing regional and national account specifications as opportunities arise.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, a technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and sales experience.

· Minimum of two years of experience in territory sales management, business development, or a related commercial sales role.

· Strong technical aptitude and understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management.

· Proficiency with CRM systems and commitment to maintaining accurate customer and opportunity records.

· Experience within the paint, coatings, automotive refinish, or related industrial manufacturing industry preferred.

· Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and distribution partners.

Salary Range: $85,000 – $110,000 annually
Incentive: Sales Incentive Bonus plan eligible
