Location: Manhattan, two days per week in office, three days mixed remote or field work
PureGym US is looking for a Commercial Real Estate Analyst to join the team at our US HQ in Manhattan, New York City. As a Commercial Real Estate Analyst within our Real Estate & Construction Division, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between raw data and strategic decision-making. This role blends advanced analytics, real estate strategy, and customer experience to identify optimal gym locations. Candidates should possess strong geospatial analysis skills and 2+ years' experience in location analytics. You'll join a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you'll deliver actionable insights supporting multi-million-dollar decision making through preparing material presented to Senior Leadership.
Responsible for:
• Market & Site Characterization: Analyze and interpret varying real estate & property data to evaluate potential sites, existing infrastructure, land-use & zoning constraints, and surrounding competitive landscapes
• Strategic Site Selection: Utilize GIS modeling (e.g., drive-time analysis, trade area mapping, and demographic heat mapping) to identify high-growth areas and optimal locations for new business units
• Data Integrity & Validation: Audit and validate dataset to ensure absolute accuracy when producing executive-level reporting
• Portfolio Documentation: Maintain a comprehensive library of regional maps, site-specific reports, and spatial databases to track the property pipeline
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Real Estate Directors, Finance teams, and Construction leads to provide insights, presentations, and reports needed to justify capital expenditures and site acquisitions
Requirements
You'll need:
• GIS / Spatial Data Experience: Proficient in GIS / mapping platforms
• Land & Infrastructure Knowledge: Solid understanding of commercial/residential real estate, land parcels, utility infrastructure, and rights-of-way
• Strategic Communication: Proven ability to synthesize technical findings into high-impact, board-ready PowerPoint & Word presentations that drive site-selection decisions
• Collaborative Problem-Solver: A proactive communicator who can solve complex spatial problems both independently and within cross-functional teams
• Results-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration, Engineering, Geography, Urban Planning, or GIS)
• 2-4 years of progressive experience in GIS, Commercial Real Estate, or a similar analytical role
• In lieu of a formal degree, 6+ years of relevant professional experience in the abovementioned fields will be considered.
Physical Job Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to walk mid- to- long- distances to perform daily job requirements
• Need to easily commute (via car preferably) along the Eastern Seaboard
• Regional Travel along the I-95 Corridor on the East Coast of the United States up to 50% of the time
• National Travel throughout the United States up to 25% of the time
• International Travel up to 2% of the time
