Full Job Description
As a Commercial Operations Lead - Utility, you are responsible for managing multiple client relationships and ensuring the successful delivery of QE Solar's vegetation management services for utility-scale solar facilities. The Commercial Operations Lead - Utility serves as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and coordinates operational activities to meet or exceed all contractual and performance obligations. Success in this role requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, along with a thorough understanding of solar operations, compliance requirements, and financial processes.

Travel Requirements: Approximately once per quarter, or as needed for client meetings and site visits.

Essential Duties & Approximate Commitment of Time

1. Own the data and reporting workflow in QE Solar's proprietary work order management system, maintaining work order accuracy, tracking service progress across sites, and producing the documentation and deliverables clients and internal teams rely on. 30%

2. Manage client relationships, act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, and ensure all contractual obligations are met. Lead regular client touchpoints and reporting sessions to communicate site status & current activities. 25%

3. Coordinate operational activities, such as site access coordination and scheduling, across cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of QE Solar's vegetation maintenance services. 'Quarterback' operations to align internal teams and deliver seamless service. 20%

4. Review operational reports (e.g., mechanical cutting/mowing, herbicide spraying, etc.) and solicit input from key stakeholders to support strategic planning and drive efficient operations. 10%

5. Support compliance efforts, including familiarity with EPA standards, to ensure all operational and reporting obligations are met across QE Solar-managed sites. 5%

6. Assist with financial processes including client quoting, procurement coordination, and invoicing activities to ensure accurate and timely execution of financial obligations. 5%

Position Requirements

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.

Experience Required

5+ years of experience in client or account management within the energy or utility industry.

Experience Preferred

Experience in solar operations, EPA compliance, or energy services project management preferred.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge

Familiarity with renewable energy systems, power generation operations, EPA compliance, and project management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and communication tools.
