Full Job Description
Commercial Marketing Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
IQ Fiber is seeking a Commercial Marketing Manager responsible for building and owning the go-to-market strategy for its commercial segment - small business, mid-market, and MDU/property management customers across a growing multi-state footprint. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this new role defines the commercial playbook: ideal customer profiles, segment-specific positioning, offer strategy, and the demand generation and sales-enablement programs that bring it to market.
This is a strategist role rather than an execution role. The Commercial Marketing Manager briefs the Customer Acquisition team for campaign execution and directs the Product Development Manager on commercial materials, succeeding through cross-functional influence across Marketing, Sales, and Product without owning dedicated execution headcount.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define and document IQ Fiber's commercial go-to-market strategy across small business, mid-market, and MDU/property management segments.
  • Develop and maintain segment-specific messaging frameworks and ideal customer profiles for each commercial segment.
  • Own commercial offer strategy in partnership with the Chief Marketing Officer, including bundling, pricing positioning, and competitive differentiation.
  • Build the commercial marketing playbook from the ground up, establishing repeatable motions for demand generation, lead nurturing, and conversion.
  • Develop commercial demand generation strategies and brief the Customer Acquisition team for execution across paid, digital, and direct-response channels.
  • Own the commercial marketing calendar, sequencing and prioritizing campaigns in alignment with Sales pipeline goals.
  • Design account-based marketing approaches for the mid-market and MDU segments, including partnership and referral frameworks that support property-manager acquisition and retention.
  • Develop commercial sales-enablement materials - pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, FAQs, and competitive battle cards - that reflect current positioning and offers.
  • Direct the Product Development Manager on commercial-facing materials and product enablement priorities.
  • Define lead qualification criteria and handoff standards with the incoming SVP of Sales, aligning commercial marketing programs with pipeline targets.
  • Track and report on commercial marketing performance, using data to refine strategy and improve funnel conversion over time.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6-10 years of B2B or commercial marketing experience, with demonstrated success building or evolving a go-to-market motion.
  • Experience marketing to small business, mid-market, or property management/MDU customer segments strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop ICPs, segment messaging, and sales-enablement materials that drive measurable pipeline results.
  • Data-driven approach to campaign planning and performance optimization.
  • Experience working in a scaling organization preferred; telecom, ISP, or connectivity industry background a plus but not required.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex product and pricing detail into clear, compelling customer-facing messaging.
  • Ability to operate as a strategist without dedicated execution resources, briefing into shared creative and media teams.
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally without direct authority across Sales, Product, and Marketing.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, early-stage environments and build structure where little exists.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • A documented commercial GTM strategy exists within 90 days, including segment messaging and a demand generation roadmap.
  • Commercial campaigns run through the Customer Acquisition team with clear briefs, measurable objectives, and defined lead-handoff criteria to Sales.
  • The Product Development Manager has a clear commercial work queue and is producing materials that reflect current positioning and offers.
  • The Sales team has the enablement tools it needs to close commercial customers across SMB, mid-market, and MDU segments.
  • Commercial pipeline and marketing-sourced lead volume are tracked, reported on, and improving quarter over quarter.
  • Commercial Marketing operates as a reliable, proactive partner to Sales and the broader organization.
