Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: To provide technical, sales and marketing support for the Commercial Lines Team in processing all lines of commercial insurance in accordance with the objectives and procedures outlined by the Team/Branch Manager in order to provide the highest level of service to our clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Process new business, renewals, cancellations and endorsement requests on computer system, with insurance carriers and in client's files per the request of client or producers.

2. Create, type and send necessary correspondence to insurance companies and clients in order to update, obtain or verify necessary information in order to service all accounts.

3. Review binders, policies and endorsements on all new business and renewals for accuracy and relevance. Input this data on the computer system and maintain paper files for each account.

4. Answer client's questions about their insurance coverages and needs.

5. Answer insurance company underwriter's questions about client accounts.

6. Assist producers in preparing proposals, providing policy summaries and account reviews.

7. Build up a rapport with our counterpart at the client's office.

8. Assist the accounting department in the reconciliation of Company accounts.

9. Provide prompt, accurate, courteous service to our clients.

10. Continue to look for opportunities to make new sales when in contact with clients. Interface with the Personal Lines Team/Producer to develop personal lines sales.

11. All tasks should be handled in a manner which are in compliance with the "Quality Control Manual for Commercial Lines Insurance" and according to Corporate guidelines and procedures.

1. Pursue a program of personal and professional development.

2. Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by Team/Branch Manager.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. A high school diploma, two years of college or two years experience in the insurance industry.

2. Ability to use office equipment such as computer terminals, calculators, copiers, fax machines, typewriters.

3. Word processing and typing skills required.

4. Strong respect for confidentiality and attention to detail.

5. Good written and oral communication skills.

6. Ability to understand and analyze commercial lines coverages, forms and policies.

7. Holds required and appropriate insurance agent's license.

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $80,000 to $90,000 per year.

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company's performance.
