Full Job Description
About the Role

We are looking for a Commercial Counsel to join our Legal team and own the day-to-day commercial contracting function. This is an in-house role for an attorney who is as passionate about running a tight, well-organized contracting operation as they are about practicing law. You will partner closely with our sales, partnerships, and business development teams to move deals across the finish line with speed and precision.

This role is for someone who is new enough to be hungry but experienced enough to flex up -ready to own the mechanics of our commercial contracting process while handling substantive legal issues as they arise. If you've built the contract tracker, automated the NDA flow, and created the playbook everyone actually uses - we want to talk to you

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the end-to-end commercial contracting process, from initial request through signature, ensuring speed, consistency, and quality on every deal
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements including SaaS subscription agreements, MSAs, order forms, statements of work, NDAs, DPAs, and professional services agreements
  • Review and negotiate alliance and channel partnership agreements in support of the business development function
  • Serve as the key legal point of contact for the revenue organization on commercial matters, delivering a fast and high-quality internal client experience
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Security, and Product to identify and resolve legal issues that touch the commercial contracting process
  • Contribute and maintain contract playbooks, standard templates, approval workflows, and internal training materials
  • Leverage AI-assisted contract review tools (we use Lora) to accelerate throughput while applying sound judgment on the issues AI cannot resolve
  • Support and contribute to improvements in our contract lifecycle management process and tooling
  • Support the broader Legal team on special projects and general corporate matters as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • JD from an accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction
  • 3-5 years of commercial contracting experience, all in-house (law firm experience alone will not be considered)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume commercial contracting workload with strong organizational discipline
  • Experience negotiating SaaS and enterprise technology agreements
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a natural instinct for process - you take pride in ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
  • Comfort with AI-assisted legal tools and a pragmatic view of how AI accelerates (but does not replace) legal judgment
  • Strong communication skills and experience working directly with business stakeholders, sales teams, and executive leadership
  • Beyond the legal skills, we're looking for someone who checks their ego at the door, shows up as a genuine team player, and brings energy to the work. We work hard here and we take the work seriously - but we also know how to have fun doing it. If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.

Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience at a cybersecurity, data, or security intelligence company - particularly with customer data sensitivity, security questionnaires, or international data privacy requirements
  • Experience negotiating alliance, reseller, or channel partnership agreements
  • Familiarity with international commercial contracting including GDPR-related data processing terms
  • Prior use of contract lifecycle management (CLM) or AI-legal-ops platforms.

Benefits:Specific to each country, we offer a competitive salary, stock options, Health benefits, and unlimited PTO, parental leave, tuition reimbursements, and much more!

The estimated total compensation range for this position is $160,000 - $210,000 (base plus bonus). Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to affordability, skills, qualifications and experience, and may vary from the range. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible for annual performance-based incentive compensation awards and equity, among other company benefits.
