Job Description:

The CNO/Vice President Patient Care Services reports to the CEO and working through subordinate managerial and clinical personnel, is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and integrating services with Patient Care Services at St. Catherine Hospital and other assigned departments in order to meet the hospital and system's mission and goals.

The CNO ensures that all patients and guests receive optimal, safe care and professional services that are provided in compliance with state/federal regulations and JCAHO, and in accordance with accepted practices of the nursing profession and are in concert with the mission and objectives of the hospital. As a member of senior management, participates in the development of system-wide goals, plans, policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) with a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), or Healthcare Administration (MHA) or Business Administration (MBA) required.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or eligibility for Indiana licensure.
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive nursing leadership experience.
  • Experience leading nursing operations within an acute care hospital.
  • Demonstrated success improving quality, patient safety, employee engagement and financial performance.
  • Experience within a multi-hospital integrated healthcare system.
  • Ability to travel throughout hospital campuses and Powers Health facilities.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies at all hours.
