Position Overview

B&T USA is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with a strong focus on lathes and turning operations. This role offers room for growth and development within the company. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in precision machining, advanced CNC programming skills, and a solid background in optimizing machining processes for efficiency and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for lathes and turning centers to support production needs.
  • Interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create precise machining instructions.
  • Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production staff to improve machining processes and ensure high-quality output.
  • Lead the setup and operation of CNC lathes to validate programs and ensure proper functionality.
  • Monitor machining processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement program adjustments for optimal performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation for programs, tooling, and setup instructions.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to less experienced team members as needed.

Required Education, Experience and Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or coursework in CNC programming or machining preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).
  • Extensive experience with lathes, mill-turn and multi-channel turning operations, and advanced machining principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for CNC programming.
  • In-depth knowledge of tooling selection, speeds, and feeds optimization.
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures and precision measurement tools.
  • Esprit knowledge strongly preferred but not required.

Work Environment:
  • Work performed in an office and manufacturing environment.
  • Exposed to machine shop manufacturing elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
