Full Job Description
As the Supply Chain Manager of PPG Aerospace's business in the U.S. and Canada (USCA) Application Support Center (ASC) Network you will develop the strategies for efficient on-time delivery of products that consistently meet customer requirements. This will include ensuring timely and accurate response to customers' orders by providing the required information, schedules, materials and accurate systems to the ASC and Chemical Management Services (CMS) teams. This is a leadership position that will drive improvement initiatives and requires a thorough knowledge of company operations, sales environment, and cost structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create the policies, procedures, and systems required to meet USCA ASC network objectives and to ensure continuous improvement in all material management and supply chain planning areas.
  • Develop and lead a team of highly engaged supply chain professionals consisting of material planners, schedulers, analysts and inventory managers.
  • Implement the strategies required to sustain optimized inventory levels that achieves the company's DOH goals and supports a high customer service level.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen events to ensure that we effective and efficient supply chain processes.
  • Collaborate with Production Leadership to ensure operational excellence across all value streams.
  • Have expert understanding of MRP concepts and lean pull systems to optimize planning approaches for efficient manufacturing.
  • Oversee the management of 3rd party material purchase orders to ensure material availability needed for all manufacturing requirements.
  • Identify current and potential inventory shortages and develop and implement appropriate recovery plans to minimize production disruptions.
  • Maintain and monitor key performance indicators including on-time delivery, past due dollars, manufacturing trends and inventory metrics.
  • Maintain all key system planning parameters including lead times and safety stocks to ensure accurate MRP planning signals.
  • Leads and drives critical review meetings including sales projections status and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
  • Interacts and influences both internal and external teams from the executive to the individual contributor to establish and implement USCA ASC network material strategies.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Operations.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or managerial role within Supply Chain, Category Management, Operations, or a related role preferred.
  • Understanding of sophisticated reporting tools, Excel, BI reports, and driving critical metrics.
  • Expert understanding of MRP calculations and planning parameters
  • Strong knowledge of Kanban and visual pull-systems
  • Ability to travel up to 50%


The base salary range for this position is $110,000-$120,000, with a possibility of an annual bonus up to 10% of base salary.
