Nature of Duties/Responsibilities: -
- Work closely at all times and assist the CNC programming group, engineers, quality leadership/ inspectors for assigned products, work with available resources (programmers and equipment), ensuring production stops are at an absolute minimum
- Provide Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming in CALYPSO Software.
- PC DMIS programming experience a plus.
- Must be a self-starting and highly motivated team player, with the ability to communicate and interact with manufacturing, engineering and quality to provide support at all levels to satisfy our product, quality and on time delivery.
- Develop, edit, and implement existing programs on moderately complex part applications using CALYPSO software from 3D solid-models and 2D drawings as per instructions of senior level CMM programmers.
- Set up and prove out programs to fully prevent crashes and faulty outputs with minimum supervision but possibly with the guidance of a senior programmer and best practice guidelines. Programming CMM processes
- Perform set up and operate mill, lathe and/or router to machine flat and formed parts to inch and metric specifications
- Read engineering drawings
- Communicate issues relating to work orders, programming errors, material shortages or errors
- Check and inspect parts to meet tolerances and product operating requirements
- Maintain logs or other necessary documents
- Perform minor maintenance activities
- Work with direct supervision Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to acquire manufacturing job skills to complete routine tasks as required
- Ability to read, understand and interpret machine codes and blueprint specifications
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
Education and Experience: - Associate Degree required.
- 4 years related experience in CMM programming in manufacturing environment
- Auditing and testing experience.
- Experience with implementation of corrective action programs.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, QA applications and databases.
- Proficient with software applications applicable to the job
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills are required.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Windows applications. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks.
Salary Range(annual): $80,000 ($38.46/hour) - $98,000 ($47.12/hour) . Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
