About the RoleWe are seeking a
Cloud Systems Administrator to join our team. As a
Cloud Systems Administrator, you will be accountable for the day-to-day administration, operation, continuous improvement, and engineering of Aspire Bakeries' cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and its integration with on-premises systems. You will help ensure hybrid workloads are secure, reliable, cost-effective, and supported by repeatable infrastructure-as-code automation using Terraform and Azure DevOps.
This role requires you to be onsite
four days per week, giving you hands-on collaboration with the team and daily exposure to the pulse of the business.
Compensation- Salary Range: $83,000-$110,000
Core Accountabilities (What You'll be Doing)- Operate and optimize Microsoft Azure infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, monitoring, backup, and platform services to support secure, reliable, and responsive workloads.
- Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code automation using Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines to enable repeatable, auditable provisioning and decommissioning of Azure resources.
- Design and support cloud and hybrid solutions integrating Azure with on-premises infrastructure, virtualization, networking, security, and identity services.
- Implement and maintain cloud identity, access, security, hardening, vulnerability management, logging, and monitoring requirements in partnership with Identity and Cybersecurity teams.
- Deliver and validate backup, recovery, and business continuity capabilities for Azure workloads, including disaster recovery testing and runbook development.
- Improve infrastructure efficiency, reliability, performance, and cost through system optimization, upgrades, patching, right-sizing, root-cause analysis, and permanent corrective actions.
- Maintain infrastructure standards, documentation, architectural diagrams, Terraform modules, runbooks, naming conventions, and tagging standards while serving as a technical owner for assigned cloud services.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience administering server, storage, identity, and enterprise application systems, including hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Working knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS services, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, Recovery Services Vault, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
- Hands-on experience authoring and operating Terraform for Azure, including modules, remote state, workspaces, and pipeline-driven plan/apply/destroy workflows using Azure DevOps or a comparable CI/CD platform.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure RBAC, Conditional Access, and MFA.
- Experience with server virtualization and hybrid connectivity concepts, including VMware and/or Hyper-V, site-to-site VPN, SD-WAN, or ExpressRoute.
- Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation, enterprise backup and recovery, infrastructure monitoring, and ITIL-aligned change, incident, and problem management practices.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)- Microsoft Azure, VMware, Cisco, GIAC, CISSP, or comparable cloud and infrastructure certification.
- Experience with Commvault/Metallic, Azure-native backup, geo-replication, and immutable or air-gapped storage.
- Familiarity with Ansible for operating system/application configuration and day-two infrastructure operations.
- Experience with Bash and a general-purpose programming language such as Python.
- Experience with SAN, NAS, Azure Files, Azure NetApp Files, cloud storage tiers, Graylog, or comparable enterprise infrastructure and observability technologies.
