As a Cloud Security Architect, you will help shape the secure foundation that powers WSP's global Digital Services vision. This role will guide, influence, and design cloud security capabilities that protect critical business platforms used across Canada and beyond. In this senior hands-on position, you will architect secure Azure environments, embed governance, and serve as a trusted advisor across engineering, vendor teams, and Corporate Security & Compliance.
Your Impact
  • Design and maintain the Azure security architecture across all regions, including network segmentation, Private Endpoints, and zero-trust posture.
  • Architect security controls that align with enterprise security, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Define security patterns for vendor teams covering authentication, secrets management, API security, and encryption standards.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities across Azure environments.
  • Contribute to standards, patterns, and reference architectures.
  • Design and govern detection engineering and define end-to-end security telemetry strategy.
  • Implement corporate security and compliance requirements using policy-as-code and automated evidence capture.
  • Build compliance evidence architecture enabling continuous audit readiness.
  • Own exception governance, assess risks, and document approvals.
  • Define horizontal security architecture standards across platform engineering, vendor development, and DevOps teams.
  • Review and approve vendor security patterns and access models.
  • Serve as the security escalation point for incidents across the platform engineering team.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • 10+ years of experience, including 7+ years in information security and cloud security architecture.
  • Deep experience designing Azure security architecture, including Azure Landing Zones and enterprise-scale frameworks.
  • Proven ability to translate regulatory and compliance requirements into enforceable technical controls.
  • Familiarity with zero-trust principles and Microsoft security platforms.
  • Experience with ADRs, security architecture documentation, and governance forums.
  • Hands-on experience in regulated SaaS, multi-region environments, or with vendor development teams (preferred).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills, with the ability to operate autonomously in a global environment.
Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:
$114,600 - $151,800

MB & ON:
$104,500 - $143,900

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC:
$103,500 - $137,400
