Job Description
You build and run the cloud under the Stockpile's new cloud inventory system: Oracle Cloud infrastructure as code, pipelines, monitoring and the environments the developers ship through. Full time, W-2, based in Fairfax, Virginia with some telework, starting October 2026.
What you will do- Build and operate Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for the new system: compute, networking, storage, identity and secure connectivity, in a federally authorized environment.
- Write and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform and configuration with Ansible; keep every environment reproducible.
- Run CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Enterprise for application and infrastructure changes, with approvals, rollback points and smoke tests.
- Monitor cost, performance and availability; automate alerting, backups and routine operations.
- Implement security controls in the cloud (encryption, logging, least privilege) and produce the evidence continuous monitoring needs.
- Support cutover from the on-premises system to the cloud and the disaster recovery design for the cloud system.
- Serve in the 24x7 on-call rotation.
What you need- 5 or more years of Linux systems engineering with at least 3 in a public cloud, ideally Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Terraform and Ansible in production, with the discipline of infrastructure as code.
- CI/CD pipeline ownership (GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions or similar).
- Cloud networking and identity fundamentals, and experience meeting federal security requirements (FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53).
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain an HHS Tier 2 public trust determination.
What sets a candidate apart- OCI Architect or OCI DevOps Professional certification.
- Oracle E-Business Suite on OCI.
- Azure Government or AWS GovCloud alongside OCI.
- Oracle Integration Cloud or Oracle Analytics Cloud deployment.

- Part of a 24x7 on-call rotation for emergency response and critical system support; a company phone is provided

- You complete HHS security, privacy and records management training before access, and cGMP training shortly after you start
