About this Position:

Totally Joined For Achieving Collaborative Techniques (TJFACT) is seeking a highly qualified Cloud Engineer - Mid to support the Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Enterprise Data Platform (EDP).

The Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and highly automated cloud-native solutions leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies. This position will work closely with Government technical leads and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable cloud infrastructure and automation capabilities supporting enterprise data initiatives. Please note that employment is contingent upon contract award.

Please note this role is a TPC request and employment is contingent upon a contract award.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support highly automated cloud-native solutions within the IRS Enterprise Data Platform utilizing AWS technologies.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure leveraging services such as EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and VPC networking.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD automation practices to support secure and efficient deployments.
  • Support containerized applications and Kubernetes environments to enable scalable and resilient operations.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AWS environments for performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Organize, direct, and manage multiple, complex, and interrelated application development and testing activities.
  • Coordinate technical activities and maintain ongoing collaboration with Government technical leads throughout the IT lifecycle.
  • Ensure technical quality across engineering deliverables and provide operational support during normal business hours.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting AWS cloud-native solutions.
  • Strong experience in Amazon AWS Cloud technologies and/or Databricks technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting AWS services including EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and VPC networking.
  • Experience organizing, directing, and managing multiple, complex, and interrelated application development and testing tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure technical quality and coordinate with Government technical leads throughout information technology activities.
  • Availability to support operations during normal hours of operation throughout the period of performance.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Cloud and/or advanced Databricks certifications maintained in good standing at the time of contract award and throughout the period of performance.
  • Experience integrating AWS environments with Databricks platforms.
  • Experience supporting Federal IT initiatives, preferably within Treasury or IRS.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps and cloud security best practices.
