GAMA-1 Technologies is seeking a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer to support the security, automation, and compliance of AWS cloud environments supporting mission-critical federal systems. In this role, you will implement cloud-native security controls, secure enterprise cloud workloads, and collaborate closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to strengthen security posture and operational resilience.
This position is ideal for hands-on cloud security engineers who enjoy working across AWS, automation, DevSecOps, and compliance-driven environments.
What You Will Do in This Role- Implement and manage security controls across AWS cloud environments
- Support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and cloud automation initiatives
- Secure cloud workloads, APIs, storage, and networking components
- Support compliance and regulatory initiatives aligned with federal requirements
- Monitor vulnerabilities and support remediation efforts across enterprise environments
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve cloud security posture
- Support security tooling, logging, monitoring, and threat detection activities
- Help drive operational efficiency through automation and DevSecOps best practices
What You Will BringRequired Qualifications- 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud security experience
- Experience securing cloud-native architectures and AWS services
- Experience with IAM, KMS, Security Groups, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFormation, and encryption technologies
- Experience supporting DevSecOps or Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives
- Experience with security and vulnerability management tools such as Splunk, Nessus, Tenable, or enterprise firewalls
- Strong understanding of cloud security, risk mitigation, and compliance best practices
Preferred Qualifications- Federal government or regulated industry experience
- Experience supporting enterprise cloud modernization initiatives
- Experience with CI/CD security integration
CertificationsMust possess at least one of the following:
- CISSP
- CISM
- CISA
- CRISC
- CAP
- CGEIT
