Purpose andImpact:

Amentum is searching for a Top-Secret clearedCloud Developerto join our team in Washington, DC. You will be working in an organization thats mission is to accelerate operations through data and new analytical insights. The entire sectionleveragesagile and works to provide enhanced reporting and global searching capabilities tofacilitatetask management, cross-utilization, and address national intelligence priorities while protecting confidential data and sources.

TheCloud Developeris a part of a team that will lead large-scale data analysis projects todesignsanddeliverson premises and cloud-based applications. The Cloud Developeris responsible forplanning and leading the design and development of cloud architecture across multiple enclaves and implementing automation for cloud resources usingDevSecOpsbest practices. The Cloud Developer is also responsibleto supportarchitecting the migration of applications to the cloud and adoption of cloud capabilities by applying cloud knowledge.

Work Schedule:Typically,Monday through Friday8-hour daysonsite. Flexibility withina 2-week payperiodto reach80 hours.

EssentialResponsibilities:

Responsible for developingthe cloudservice delivery models and architectural framework to enableplatformas a service (PaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and data as a service (DaaS). Able to implement automation for cloud resources usingDevSecOpsbest practices. Able to analyze applications and make recommendations across multipleareasthatidentifywhat platforms can move, migrate, and/or be deployed into a cloud environment. Capable of providing strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization and benefit analyses of cloud, cloud agnostic, and on-site premise services. Responsible for developing and implementing cloud applications, migrating existing on-premises applications to the cloud, debugging cloud stacks, managing policies for the use of cloud services, requests fornew technology,establishinga secure cloud environment, ensuringappropriate availability/uptimedesign. Works independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software.

Possesses and appliesknowledgeon multiple work assignments. Assignments may bebroad in nature, requiring originality and innovation indetermininghow toaccomplishtasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developingmethodologyand presenting solutions toproblems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Minimum of4year of experience collectively with the following:
    • With major cloud service providers (i.e.: Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, or Google)
    • Performing development and deployment activities on a private/public cloud solution or a comparable high availability environment
    • Deploying and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or Azure ARMs Templates
    • Implementing andmaintainingsecurity best practices for cloud environments
    • Creating andmaintainingcomprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and processes

Security Clearance Required:

  • Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field.
  • In absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements

Minimum Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 year of experience

Required Certifications:

  • Cloud Practitioner Certification (or similar)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Development Tools:
    • Git source version control
    • Google DevOps project management
    • Static Application Security Testing (SAST, e.g. SonarQube, Gitlab SAST)
    • Unit and integration testing (e.g., xunit, nunit)
    • Automated testing
    • End-to-end testing (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber)
  • Platforms:
    • Attribute and role-based access control paradigms (ABAC/RBAC)
    • Windows Service Fabric
    • Splunk administration
    • Windows and Linux server administration
  • Business Analysis and Project Management:
    • Agile Principles
    • DevOps
  • Splunk, JIRA, Confluence, Nessus
  • Strong Excel experience
  • Experience with major Cloud Services
  • Experience implementing, reviewing, and providing recommendations on Cloud Security configurations
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux
  • Cloud Associate Level or above Certification(s)

Compensation Details:

US:$135,000 - $150,000
