Cloud Capacity Manager
We are seeking a Cloud Capacity Manager to lead capacity planning, optimization, and governance for a large-scale Azure cloud environment operating under FedRAMP High requirements. This role supports critical government-focused initiatives and ensures secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure across Azure services and platforms.
The ideal candidate will partner closely with SRE, infrastructure, engineering, networking, and program teams to balance performance, reliability, compliance, and cost efficiency across the cloud environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead cloud capacity planning, forecasting, monitoring, and optimization across Azure services
  • Develop capacity models and establish buffer/headroom standards for resilient operations
  • Drive autoscaling, quota management, cloud rightsizing, and performance tuning initiatives
  • Support disaster recovery and failover readiness across multi-region environments
  • Participate in change management and governance reviews related to capacity and security
  • Ensure cloud operations align with FedRAMP High compliance requirements
  • Support audits, continuous monitoring, POA&M activities, and governance reporting
  • Partner with SRE teams on reliability engineering, SLIs/SLOs, and operational resilience
  • Optimize cloud spend through FinOps strategies including Reservations and Savings Plans
  • Deliver executive reporting on utilization, capacity runway, performance, and cost efficiency
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of infrastructure capacity or performance engineering experience
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure cloud services
  • Experience with AWS; GCP exposure is a plus
  • Hands-on FedRAMP experience required
  • Background in cloud optimization within regulated environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, infrastructure, networking, and operations teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Technical Skills
  • Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Advisor, Cost Management
  • FedRAMP POA&M management and continuous monitoring
  • AKS, VMSS, App Services, autoscaling strategies
