Full Job Description
We are seeking a Cloud Architect to help design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that support our business objectives. Reporting to the Director of Cloud Engineering, this role will focus primarily on AWS environments and will work closely with other cloud architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to develop and execute a cohesive cloud strategy.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience running production workloads in cloud environments, a strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, and the ability to deliver reliable solutions in enterprise settings. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, supporting cloud migrations, introducing new technologies, and helping teams adopt cloud best practices.What You'll Do
  • Partner with other cloud architects to identify, design, and implement optimal cloud-based solutions for internal and customer needs.
  • Design and build secure cloud environments using applicable security guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Support complex cloud migrations and help ensure cloud solutions are scalable, resilient, and cost-effective.
  • Build and design cloud-based web services, including geographically redundant services.
  • Orchestrate and automate cloud platforms and infrastructure across the organization.
  • Educate teams on new cloud-based solutions and provide training and guidance as needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues proactively and resolve problems before they become larger production concerns.
  • Introduce innovative tools, technologies, and ideas to help the organization stay on the cutting edge.
  • Assist with production support issues when they arise.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both developers and business stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
  • US Citizenship required and able to gain a public trust clearance.
  • 2+ years of experience running production workloads in cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, primarily within AWS.
  • Experience designing and implementing highly available cloud architectures aligned with FedRAMP requirements and NIST SP 800-53 security controls.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
  • A commitment to staying current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with enterprise Linux-based systems administration.
  • 3+ years of experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and source control.
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tooling and methodologies.
Location

Mechanicsburg, PA. Local candidates who can work onsite 3 days per week are strongly preferred.
