Job Description

The Cloud & API Platforms Practice Lead (AVP), in Perficient's Services/Delivery Organization, blends broad solution and practice leadership with technology expertise. In this role, you will be the GTM expert for Cloud & API Platform solutions that span both API Platforms (including Mulesoft, Apigee, Boomi, Workato, Tibco, etc.) and Cloud Automation (Terraform, etc.). You will guide the GTM strategy for the practice organization. The Practice AVP will focus on growing Perficient's overall capabilities and partnerships while working with enterprise clients on modern digital transformations. This role will also be responsible for evaluating and growing Perficient's IBM Cloud capabilities.

You will need to be within reasonable proximity of a Perficient office to be considered for this position. Our locations are: St. Louis, MO, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, New York, NY, Minneapolis, MN, Alpharetta, GA, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, Detroit, MI, Irvine, CA.

Here's what you'll be able to achieve in this role:
  • Oversee the growth of the Cloud & API Platform Practice, including managing partnerships, by defining and executing go-to-market strategies in-line with Perficient and partner direction
  • Maintain and expand API partner relationships, serving as a key point of contact for the Platform API solutions inside Perficient
  • Maintain and expand IBM Cloud solutions, serving as a key point of contact for IBM Cloud Infrastructure Automation technologies inside Perficient
  • Act as a subject matter expert, actively guiding technical solutions, sales enablement and innovation in this space
  • Own Platform evangelism and presales conversations, partnering with account teams to shape new opportunities.
  • Work with clients to strategize their Cloud Infrastructure and API solutions,
  • Mentor architects and consultants, influence practice direction, and represent Perficient in the growing Cloud ecosystem.


Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the Go To Market capability for Cloud & API Platform solutions
  • Maintain knowledge of API partner product roadmaps, client funding mechanisms and capabilities in the space
  • Expand IBM Cloud Solutions capabilities
  • Lead discovery workshops to capture business and technical requirements for Platform API technologies
  • Develop and lead practice strategies around technical capabilities
  • Produce high-quality sales enablement material that aligns to the Practice direction.
  • Guide both sellers and delivery on the capabilities in this space.
  • Liaise with offshore delivery teams to drive global capabilities that expand client options.
  • Mentor colleagues on Platform API best practices and contribute to Perficient's service lines.
  • Support sales pursuits with demos, POVs, and statements of work.
  • Your experience working with Platform API solutions will be key in building out a go to market strategy and enable Perficient sellers with the right messaging and key materials. Additionally, you will foster an engaging colleague culture that inspires strong team and individual performance, in line with Perficient's People Promise.


Qualifications

10-15 years of professional experience, including 5 + years leading practices
  • Experience working with the partner channels with a current "rolodex" of partner and client contacts in good standing.
  • Expertise in IBM and other Platform API solutions
  • Proven ability to drive go-to-market strategies
  • Hands-on consulting experience.
  • Leadership history in professional-services/consulting environments, including capability development, project estimation and client workshop facilitation.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations.
  • Strong grasp of AI delivery principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading globally distributed teams; willingness to mentor junior staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Must be willing to travel as client and project needs dictate.


The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $150,000 to $250,000. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential variable compensation programs.
