Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assume overall responsibility for clinical nursing practice as designated by the Chief Clinical Officer
  • Ensure continuity decision-making consistent with nursing standards

  • Represent administration during events in the absence of senior management
  • Foster a professional and accountable culture within the team
  • Keep CCO and CEO informed of any risk situations
  • Provide direct patient care based on staffing and patient acuity

Full Job Description
While on duty is authorized and designated bythe Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to assume overall responsibility for clinicalnursing practice. Provides for continuity in decision making and consistency innursing practice by assuring that nursing and hospital standards and objectivesare met. Acts as a resource and support person for the nursing staff. Represents administration during any eventoccurring their absence. Embraces anddemands a culture of professionalism and accountability. Responsible for fostering a positive milieu. Keeps CCO and CEOapprised of situations that may place facility at risk. Provides direct patientcare as required based on staffing and patient acuity. Communicates withphysicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinicalcondition. Responds quickly andaccurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
