Senior clinician with specialized skills in pediatric bereavement services. Provides advanced clinical services and leadership to the hospital through direct services to patients, families, staff, and community. Provides oversight of day-to-day operations and program development for the Journey program. This leadership role actively promotes culturally responsive family-centered care and hospital-wide collaboration around the scope and delivery of bereavement services.
Required Education and Experience
Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Divinity, Child Life or related field.
Minimum of 4-6 years post masters' experience, to include:
• Experience in all areas of care and intervention with children/families
• Demonstrated skill and experience in child/adult bereavement
• Multidisciplinary team experience
• Pediatric experience; understanding of impact of grief and bereavement on developmental growth
• Experience with oversight of serious illness and/or bereavement care
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with diverse patients (multicultural/multilingual)
1-2 years program management; and/or program development experience
Program development experience
Paid or internship experience in health care or a clinical setting focusing on children and families.
Required Credentials
LICSW, and/or BCC (Board Certified Chaplain), and/or CCLS (Certified Child Life Specialist)
As a condition of employment: Current licensing is to be maintained at all times.

Experience in healthcare/medical setting
Approved to provide clinical supervision in their discipline
Advanced training/certification in grief & bereavement
Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases independently.
Experience in providing individual and group psychotherapy to adults and/or children using a variety of evidence-based interventions (e.g., pastoral counseling, play-based modalities, family systems, CBT, IPT, etc.).
Compensation Range
$107,431.00 - $161,147.00 per year
Salary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
