Position Summary
We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to support the development and implementation of an ambitious Lower Limb Preservation (LLP), prosthetics and amputee research program and to launch post-acute care geriatrics research and education. This is a dual-position role at the UHN-West Park site.

The successful candidate will play a central role in advancing and coordinating research across these programs, with a particular focus on supporting the continued development and structure of the amputee and prosthetics research pathway, while also contributing to the expansion of research within geriatric rehabilitation.

Within the amputee and LLP program, the CRC will support the evolution of a growing signature research initiative aimed at strengthening program structure, enhancing coordination, and embedding research into clinical care.

Within geriatric rehabilitation, the CRC will contribute to the development of an emerging research program that supports innovative clinical programming, integrates education and academic growth, and encompasses and connects with broader geriatric research initiatives across UHN. This includes supporting efforts to enhance access to rehabilitation and advance models of care through a potential post-acute lens.

This role is highly collaborative and will work across interdisciplinary teams including clinicians, researchers, program leaders, and rehabilitation specialists, and external partners across UHN, KITE, TIER, and the University of Toronto, supporting the development of integrated and research-informed models of care.

Duties
  • Assist in building structure, processes, and workflows to support research integration within clinical services; and support collaboration and coordination of research efforts connecting our programs to other UHN research projects
  • Coordinate day-to-day research activities across a portfolio of studies within inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs - assisting with protocol development, study start-up, and implementation of research workflows, study documentation, including regulatory binders and ethics submissions, and support the execution of research studies
  • Recruit, screen, and consent participants for clinical research studies, and coordinate/schedule study visits in alignment with clinical care delivery
  • Support collection of study data and outcome measures in clinical and research settings; including maintaining research databases, quality assurance processes, tracking tools, and documentation systems
  • Contribute to an environment of innovation, continuous improvement, and research-informed care
  • Digital health solutions focused on care innovations to support improved patient outcomes across rehabilitation programs, including AI-enabled tools for screening, triage, and clinical decision support; wearable devices for patient monitoring, risk stratification, and rehabilitation optimization


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a health, science, or related field with minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in clinical or research coordination, where rehabilitation, geriatrics, chronic disease, prosthetics, or vascular/diabetes care is an asset
  • Experience with clinical research processes, ethics submissions, study coordination, knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, data systems (e.g., REDCap) and EMRs, and Clinical Trials (e.g. Pharma) is an asset
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and project coordination skills, with interest in innovation, program development, and model-of-care design
