Salary Range: $37.47 - $46.84 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week
Shifts: Day
Status: Temporary Full-time

Position Summary
The Rehabilitation Pain Service (RPS) is an interprofessional program for the diagnosis, assessment, management and treatment of people with chronic pain, and it is a member of the Toronto Academic Pain Medicine Institute (TAPMI). RPS is internationally renowned for cutting-edge research and clinical practice. Working under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Clinical Research Coordinator collaborates with MDs and the interprofessional health care team in the recruitment of study participants.

This is a contract temporary full-time position from October 5, 2026 - September 30, 2027.

Duties
  • Identifies and screens potential subjects, obtains informed consent, conducts pre-testing and administers questionnaires or other data collection tools
  • Plans, implements, and coordinates all aspects of data collection and source documentation, as per UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines
  • Identifies problems using assessment skills and reports any abnormalities to MD or health care team member
  • Executes study-related administrative tasks, such as collection of regulator documents, ethics submissions, etc.
  • Conducts telephone and/or clinical recruitment interviews to collect data using established criteria
  • Coordinates patient visit schedule as per study protocol
  • Executes all aspects of study visit (e.g., assessment, adverse events, monitoring safety, medication, questionnaires, sample collection, processing and transportation/shipment of samples according to clinical protocol)
  • Assesses study-related literature
  • Liaises with sponsor for monitoring/audits


Qualifications
  • At minimum, Bachelor's Degree or recognized equivalent in a health or science-related discipline, required
  • 3 years clinical and/or professional experience, required
  • Up to 1 year of clinical research experience, preferred
  • Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) certification (SoCRA or ACRP) and/or at least 1 year experience with multiple aspects of randomized controlled trials
  • Some experience in research contract budget management
  • Ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of clinical research guidelines (such as ICH/GCP, Tri-Council Policy, Declaration of Helsinki, FDR, CFR, and Health Canada TPD as required)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; good technical/computer skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Client service-oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds, and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
