What We're Looking For:
  • A detail-oriented, collaborative professional who demonstrates courtesy, caring, and respect for patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital-based clinical pharmacy program.
  • PharmD required.
  • Current Louisiana pharmacist license; strong knowledge of pharmacodynamics, clinical pharmacy practices, and regulatory compliance.

What You Will Do: Promote pharmacodynamics of patient care and assist the clinical coordinator in econotherapeutics activities. Provide safe, effective, and cost-conscious drug therapies for patients of all ages, as defined in the department's scope of service.
  • Prepare and dispense drug orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Monitor drug therapy regimens for safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness; provide clinical consultation and suggest therapeutic alternatives.
  • Supervise pharmacy support personnel and ensure timely, accurate pharmacy services.
  • Promote optimal drug utilization through rounding, education, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meetings, formulary management, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain competency through ongoing education, licensure, and skills assessment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
