Job Details:

PURPOSE

The Clinical Nurse Supervisor oversees the daily operations of outpatient services, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, this role manages clinical staff, coordinates patient care, and implements policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervision and Management
  • Supervises and evaluates clinical staff performance.
  • Coordinates staff schedules and assignments.
  • Provides training and development opportunities for staff.

Patient Care Coordination
  • Ensures efficient patient flow and timely care.
  • Addresses patient concerns and resolves issues.
  • Collaborates with healthcare providers to develop care plans.

Compliance and Quality Assurance
  • Ensures adherence to healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Conducts regular audits of clinical documentation.
  • Implements quality improvement initiatives.

Administrative Duties
  • Manages patient records and ensures accurate documentation.
  • Oversees billing and coding processes.
  • Maintains inventory of medical supplies and equipment.

Community Outreach
  • Participates in community health programs.
  • Promotes outpatient services to the public.
  • Engages in local and state advocacy efforts


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • At least 3 year(s) of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • At least 5 year(s) of experience in outpatient care management.
  • Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification


SALARY RANGE

$93,500 + depending on qualifications

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/EQUIPMENT
  • Standard office equipment
  • Repetitive use of a keyboard
  • May be exposed to such occupational hazards as communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, hazardous medications and disoriented or combative patients, or others
