Schedule: Mon- Fri- hours vary based on program needs

Level of care: PHP and IOP

The Clinical Manager supervises counseling staff, provides leadership for the clinical team and provides counseling and services to patients.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership for counseling services, including defining and refining the counseling service model and strategy, supervising and managing staff, identifying and coordinating with community resources as appropriate, and tracking and monitoring service implementation to ensure high-quality, relevant, patient-centered service delivery aligned with mission and goals
  • Provides leadership of clinical team to maximize coordination and collaboration among staff, troubleshoot challenges, and identify and implement new services strategies, community partnerships or resource needs as appropriate
  • Identifies and implements strategy for assigning patients to counselors
    • Monitors quality and levels of service provided and guide staff on adjustments as needed
    • Oversees counselors' case file management and monthly tracking reports and submits summary reports to management as requested
  • Provides counseling and facilitates group activities as dictated by patient need and program expectations
    • Completes case files and tracking reports for caseload
  • Recruits, trains and assists staff in setting individual goals and objectives
    • Promotes a positive and supportive work environment and provides continuing support in helping personnel to accomplish their goals, as well as in work methods, processes, policies and procedures
    • Conducts performance appraisals and counsels employees on performance issues
  • Continuously monitors delivery of services and care for quality, effectiveness and compliance
  • Establishes systems that support efficient and effective delivery of services
  • Ensures ERC treatment philosophy is cohesively presented throughout the program
  • Participates with Executive Management to ensure quality of services
    • Develop and maintain clinical budget and contribute toward strategic planning initiatives
  • Develops and implements training protocols
  • Ensure clinical department's compliance with HIPAA and the Joint Commission
  • Acts as a liaison to other internal departments and to the larger community of Eating Disorder Professionals

Must haves:
  • Graduate degree in mental health or related field (required)
  • Active LCSW, LPC, LMHC or similar licensure in state where assigned (required)
  • 5+ years of working with mood, anxiety, eating disorders and/or trauma related disorders (required)
  • An understanding of clinical treatment of mood, anxiety, eating disorders and/or trauma related disorders (required)
  • If working at an eating disorder location, must have 5+ years of experience working specifically with eating disorders as well as an understanding of the clinical treatment of such disorders (required)

Bonus qualities:
  • 2+ years of management experience (preferred)


The compensation range for this position is based upon candidate experience and market expectations.

California Pay Range

$90,000-$115,000 USD
